Very nice stay, good full breakfast, comfortable rooms, great stay, lovely gardens for morning walk.

When I’m in Carlisle, this is one of my favourite places to stay LGBT friendly staff, clean and comfortable rooms and a great breakfast What’s not to like

There was a mix up with the room which I had booked through Hotels.com but I was soon sorted with the one I had booked( at a cost)The following morning it had been sorted and upgrade cost refunded.Staff and room very good.Will definitely be back hopefully later in the year.

Stayed for one night, on our way back down from Scotland. Had a lovely time here, and wished we could have stayed longer. Arrived around 6pm, very easy parking and checking in to our room. Then had a lovely meal downstairs in the Penny Blue restaurant attached to the hotel. Food was served very quickly, and the staff were attentive. The room itself was excellent, very spacious with a comfortable bed. It did get a little warm in the night for our taste, but they had a fan available which helped. It’s an apartment hotel, so came with a very well kitted out kitchen. Great for self catering, but we chose the breakfast restaurant downstairs. They did us a nice poached egg breakfast. Perfect location to explore the town centre, cathedral and castle. We checked out at 11, and went to explore the town. Reception staff were very friendly and helpful, no problem applying the parking discounts later in the day. Note that the car park can get very busy, it was pretty much full when we loaded our suitcases at 11, and when we left a few hours later.
