Ruined Family Weekend
I wish I could tell you about my stay. I was in the house about 30 seconds before my 4 kids and I realized someone else was already staying at the house. I called the owner… she was very confused and quickly realized she had booked through two platforms on same weekend. She apologized over and over but nothing is scarier than being out of town without your husband and you suddenly have nowhere to stay. It was Family Weekend for my daughter’s college. I hadn’t seen my daughter in over a month and I was dealing with not having a place to stay. The dinners I wanted to cook for her friends, were not going to happen any longer. The family living area to watch movies and pop popcorn together with her friends, and our family was not gonna happen. The groceries I had bought ruined. After searching for a hotel for over an hour due to the entire town being booked for family weekend we finally found a room with a king size bed and a couch pull out for the five of us. The lady was apologetic and gave me my refund very quickly, which I appreciated. I’m sure it would’ve been a great weekend had we been able to stay at the beautiful home.

Great place for a weekend.
Cozy, comfortable, and safe place to stay. This house is tucked away in a quiet neighborhood and is just off the beaten path of Abilene. Not, advertised when we made our booking but the property has an RV parking off street. This could be a great place if you are needing a break from your RV for a overnight or weekend stretch.
