My stay at this hotel was extremely disappointing, especially for African guests. The issues I encountered reflect poor hospitality and troubling discrimination.
Room Service Issues
Room service was unacceptable. Food arrived cold despite being meant to be warm, and orders often lacked essential items like forks and spoons. It felt like room service simply didn't work.
Invasion of Privacy
The hotel environment felt oppressive. Every time I returned from shopping, my belongings were thoroughly searched, a practice seemingly targeted at African guests, showing a blatant disregard for personal privacy.
Guest Policy Discrimination
Visitors must present IDs to visit guest rooms, but this rule was enforced only against African guests. European or western guests appeared exempt, highlighting a clear double standard.
Unequal Treatment
The most troubling aspect was the stark difference in treatment based on race. White guests enjoyed privileges and leniencies denied to African guests. It seemed as if white guests could do anything without facing questions or repercussions, while African guests were constantly monitored and restricted.
In conclusion, my experience was marred by poor service and racial discrimination. Such practices are unacceptable, and I strongly advise against staying here, especially if you are African, to avoid the distressing treatment I faced.
