Welcome to The Branch at Afton Mountain Retreat in the heart of Brewery Trail/Route 151, Vineyard country and the foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains. The Branch is located 1/8th mile from Veritas Vineyard. It is within 10 minutes to every brewery, vineyard, distillery and cidery along Route 151 & Crozet, 1 mile from the newly opened Blue Ridge Tunnel and 20 minutes to Wintergreen Resort for winter fun! Completely remodeled and ready to spoil the best guests who simply want to unwind.

Hi there! My husband, Damond and I built our forever home on one acre in the lovely town of Crozet! We met while attending the University of Virginia and we got married and lived in Charlottesville after graduating. We love Charlottesville but just needed more space for our kids to run so we built our home in Crozet. We spend a lot of time in the nearby area of Afton along Route 151 going on hikes, visiting the local breweries and vineyards - all the things we recommend to our guests to do! We not only own the spaces that we rent out to our amazing guests but we spend time in those spaces as a family. I am a Realtor at Nest Realty and being a super host has been an avenue of real estate that I enjoy. We built and remodeled our properties and take a lot of pride in them to attract our guests to our little slice of heaven in the foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains.

The area is rural with homes spaced out on 2-10 acres. Most homes are lived in by the owners so please be respectful of noise as they live here full time. Veritas Vineyard is 200 meters down the road and Afton Mountain Vineyard is about 1 mile away. They are located among residential homes all on larger parcels of land. The neighbors behind us own cattle that sometimes graze along the wire fence in the back yard.

There is a very large U shaped driveway with plenty of off street parking for every guest if they drive themselves. It can easily accommodate very large vehicles with no issues.

There is a large U Shaped driveway that can accommodate vehicles if every guest were to drive as well as a large tour bus if you decide to hire vehicle transportation during your stay. If you are touring vineyards and breweries, many guests will contact local transportation companies that specialize in these tours and pickup/drop off from The Branch.

We had such a great time on our stay. There were so many extra touches in this house that made this stay even better. Everything was super clean. Beautiful location and close to many breweries and wineries. Basement area would be excellent for kids although we didn’t bring ours along on this trip. Both nights we stayed, we sat in the screened in porch area at night with a fire going and it was so cozy. Definitely recommend!!

This home is the first rental I have stayed in which is as fresh and new as the advertised pictures. The bathrooms are so clean with plenty of soft towels and vanity to do make up. Beautiful lighting throughout the house. Renovated to perfection with spacious bedrooms and comfortable beds. We enjoyed sitting in the outside screened in area, drinking coffee with perfect weather. You must ride down the road and walk to the old railroad tunnel in which you can walk through, bring a really bright flashlight! Close by Blue Mountain Brewery and restaurant has excellent food and lots of room to eat outside. This house is perfect for a family but do bring food for snacking and drinking as it is about 20 minutes to the closest grocery store. We loved our visit as well as our friends and would stay again without hesitation. Stay…..you will not be disappointed!!! Also the owners are very nice and accommodating 🤗

This property is beautiful, well-located, and most importantly (for me), very clean! So tastefully decorated with fun touches for the kids like a porch swing and air hockey table in the basement. Great house that has everything you could want, especially if you're the type to go out all day exploring agritourism and come back to a cozy house to make and enjoy dinner in. We definitely enjoyed the screened in porch with fireplace the most. Bedrooms and bathrooms are nice. It was an adult-only trip so while we did not use the basement play area, I was able to escape to do some work...no rest for the weary! If you like Afton wineries, this is the ABnB for you.

Stunning home, well stocked and a beautiful place to spend our long weekend for graduation! The decor and home was so beautiful. Kitchen supplies were fabulous and so many wonderful touches that make this the perfect home for entertaining and relaxing. Loved the playroom, little kids would have a ball! The Branch far and away exceeded our expectations! Our friend group traveled to the area for a spontaneous ski weekend and Wintergreen resort, and thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Dawn's property. The house is only about 20 minutes from the slopes, and 3-5 minutes from a wide array of breweries and wineries! Everything within the property was meticulously cleaned and you could tell that a lot of love and care went into the design of the house. We will for sure be back again - this time for much longer!

What a wonderful place to enjoy Thanksgiving! We spent four nights in this lovely home & it soooooo exceeded our expectations. It’s newly renovated & beautifully appointed with its modern furnishings & appliances that are simply perfect. The kitchen is so well equipped & the house honestly offered everything we needed. The icing on the cake was the huge basement with its own sitting area, big TV etc. which my kids loved & I cannot forget to mention the ice hockey table, huge hit!!! The location was perfect for us with it being close to the mountain trails for hiking & the vineyards & breweries are so close by & we visited them as our hiking reward! A huge thank you to the owners for our best Thanksgiving yet. We will definitely come back & stay in the same house without question!
