We read a lot of reviews on this hotel before we booked and while the hotel is fine, it certainly was not a ten.
First, the positives. The check in was excellent, the lady at the front desk, I believe Jackie, was fun, gave good details and made us feel at home. The pool was nice, clean and in good shape. The room was fine, smaller, but that's what you get for roadside motels/hotels. The bathroom was clean and had the regular supplies you would expect. This room had a spa tub and it worked well, the water was hot and the tub was clean.
The negatives. The room smelled of mildew. And yes, they know it. There was a damp-rid on the shelf, filled with at least 4-5" of water. Should have been replaced a while ago. The bed was soft; really soft. The curtain rod was broken, had to use our portable laundry line to pin it together. There were small push pins in the curtain that someone had used to try and keep the curtain up. The furniture, overall, was old and worn.
Now, please understand, this is not a bad place for a quick stay, however, it's not a 9-10, more like a 6-7. If I were in the area again, I'd pick something different. Plenty of choices.
