there is no soap. you cant lock the bathroom coz the knob is damaged. there is still garbage under the sink fr the previous occupant. lots of fruit flies in the sink. u hv to drive 45 min to the town to get dinner. but thats is ok. cleanliness is the problem.
It's a lovely property to stay at in the park. You get the view of the dunes from your room. But before you come in, make sure to bring food with you because the closest option is an hour away from the place. Otherwise, really nice place to stay
Really enjoyed the opportunity to camp out under the stars without having to drag all of our own stuff along. It is too bad the weather did not cooperate until 4 am. G-Domes are closer together than they appear in the photos, but it was not really that big of a deal. Everyone was mostly quiet and respectful. Bathrooms and a hot shower are only a short walk away. The only downside is if the RVs are running their A/C. Then you hear fans all night.
Beautiful place to see sunset and close proximity to great sand dunes park. Decent grab and go breakfast. Sleds for rent for sand dunes. Bring food and water unless you want to drive 35-40 min away. Convient store on property with limited provisions. Only restaurant was closed for season-not advertised closing when made booking. Lady that checked us in was not overly friendly
I was excited about staying in the geo dome while visiting the sand dunes. However, I guess my expectations were too high. First, we arrived and it was difficult to find the office. I was called earlier that day and told my card was declined (no reason it should have been) then when we arrived at the dome it had an intense smell. I didn’t know what the smell was and called the front desk and was told it was probably plastic. We thought about staying elsewhere but it was already 8pm and we were very tired. We stayed the one night at the geodome, but never again! I couldn’t sleep smelling plastic!!
The bed was really cozy. The deck outside looking at the sand dunes was incredible. The breakfast choices were good. You have to realize that there isn’t a place to eat dinner after 5 PM so stop on the way or bring your own dinner.

Right next to the entrance of Great Sand Dune National Park. If you are OK to stay in 2 star motel, you will be happy with this selection. There is very limited food and restaurant within 15 miles. Be prepare to eat simple or drive 30, minutes for meals
We loved the patio on every room. We watched a gorgeous sunset from the patio that sits above the dunes. Perfect place to stay when visiting the dunes.
This was the most misleading booking I’ve ever made. I lost $120 and this place is an absolute joke. NO bathroom, NO shower, sleep in a glorified TENT that was 100 degrees and smelled awful! If I wanted that I would have brought my own tent for free. I’d been better off sleeping in my car. I couldn’t even stay here so the $120 was a complete loss. Told the lady at the front I wanted a refund and she was like “yeah I keep telling the owner the listing ticks people off”. Private bathroom my butt. The last night of our vacation was a bust and we have to drive through the night just to get away from this place. By the way the entire area shuts down at 4pm. No food for you after that. Um what? No thank you. Give me a refund.
