The manager saved my evening. I came to Albuquerque to drop my boyfriend off at the airport and since it was late in the day, he asked me to get a room so i wasn't driving the 2 and a half hour drive back in the dark. I booked a room on Expedia before leaving the house. Unfortunately, when i got here i realized I forgot my wallet. It was also unfortunate that the girls at the desk were idiots. I was told they needed $100 deposit for incidentals. My mom sent a picture of her card. They refused because it was hers. My mom found my wallet and sent a picture of my card. They said they needed the physical card. I offered cash, they said they couldn't take cash, at which point i stormed out. As i was about to leave the manager knocked on my window and said we could work this out. She excepted the cash. I truly thank her. I was dead tired.

The staff are very nice (warm and friendly).Smoke detector in hallway outside my room was chirping all night. Brought this to attention of staff who said maintenance man had gone home for the day. Staff called manager who must if decided not to address the problem immediately. It was still chirping when I checked out the next morning. Felt very unsafe. The furniture in the rooms is old and in bad shape. Second floor hallway was kind of dark and creepy. This hotel could use a serious update

I had asked for a hotel close to the airport. This is very far away and they had no shuttle. I had to take a ride share to and from the airport this cancelling any lower room rate. Hotels.com referral was misleading.

Bed was comfortable and room was spacious. Entire property including the parking lot is dingy and showing signs of age. Windows were filthy. I went down to use the hot tub and decided not too because the whole pool and hot tub area felt dirty and water looked cloudy. I woke around 3am to use the restroom and there was no water. I did not call down, just went back to sleep. When I woke again it was back on but it came out of the faucet black at first. The shower head had a strange hose hanging down with a jet type sprayer You had to fiddle with the handles to make any water come out of the actual shower head. Between that and the black water issue, I ended up not even showering.

DO NOT STAY HERE! TRUST ME.
I am really mad at you Hotels.com and I will not be using you again unless you want a refund me for the nights I stayed in that hell hole. You gave the hotel seven stars and what I should have done was look at what Google had which was one star and that was mostly because people couldn't believe less than that. The place was disgusting and I would have been better off just getting a blanket and crawling up underneath a freeway pass. There is no way in hell that Hotel 505 is a 3 star hotel. It is not a single star hotel and it is not a hotel. It is a flop house. Filthy, old, outdated, dangerous.... No sprinklers. I feared that a fire would break out and we were on the 5th floor, no less. And the day we checked out there was a drug deal going down between a "guest" and some guy in a car. It should be called a Motel 666. The Google reviews, which I should have read stated the truth about this place and the management kept saying they were about to undergo renovations. No way in hell. This is not a chain hotel. It's probably owned by a couple of homies and we did the math. Each room would need a $10,000 upgrade and there are a 100 rooms. That's 1M bucks and does not address the sprinkler system, the exterior, and the elevator. There is no way these jokers can afford an upgrade. We didnt show up our last night and forfeited $200. Instead we stayed at a Hampton and it literally was Heaven vs Hell. Mark my words people, this place needs to be demolished. Old Howard Johnsons.
