Step back in time and enjoy this quaint 3 bedroom, 1 bath cottage. Located on a quiet dead end road in the small town of Alden, next to Torch Lake and close to the Alden boat launch and access to the entire lower chain of lakes (Bellaire, Clam Elk and Skegemog, and Torch). Walk to downtown Alden for dining, wine tasting, or ice cream, to the historical Train Depot Park and Museum, venture a bit further on foot and take a hike through the 20 acre Coy Mountain Preserve. The front enclosed porch is another great place to sit and relax. Walk to Torch Lake from this cottage, about 2 blocks to the park where you can swim and watch the sunset. This cottage is close to many professional and recreational golf courses, Traverse City shopping and the wineries of Old Mission and Leelanau Peninsulas. Charlevoix, Petoskey, and Harbor Springs area is a nice same day round trip excursion. Whether you bring your own boat or rent one at one of the many marinas in the area. Spending time relaxing or enjoying some water sports is one of the many forms of entertainment in the area. Spend the day on the lake and then enjoy award winning craft beer at Shorts Brewery in downtown Bellaire or Elk Rapids.
