The Space:
Nestled within the grounds of the prestigious Cameron House, South Lodge offers a unique and luxurious stay. Originally built in 1882, the lodge has been meticulously restored and extended to provide modern comforts while retaining its beautiful original features. The house features a spacious open-plan lounge and kitchen area with a large kitchen island, a cozy log-burning fire, a hot tub, fire pit, play park, and a cellar bar. The four bedrooms are elegantly furnished with hotel-quality linen, robes, and towels, offering the flexibility to be set up as twin or double rooms, making it perfect for both families and groups. Private parking is available for guests.

The lodge boasts an inviting open-plan living space with exposed original stone walls, a log-burning fire, and comfortable sofas where guests can unwind after a day of adventures. The fully-equipped kitchen with a large island is perfect for social gatherings or relaxing evenings. Each of the four bedrooms is tastefully decorated and offers twin or double bed configurations with the option of additional pull-out beds. Free Wi-Fi and Smart TVs ensure entertainment and connectivity in every room.

For a lively experience, guests can head to the basement bar, equipped with a pool table, full Sky TV, and a bar that can be stocked with a draught keg upon request. The bar offers a true pub experience without having to leave the lodge, ideal for fun evenings with friends and family.

Cameron House Hotel is located a further ten-minute walk away, allowing guests to explore the surrounding area with ease.

We have three private parking spaces at the back of the house.
The loch is only a few minutes walk away! Loch Lomond Shore, The Boat House and The Cameron House Hotel are all within walking distance. Our house manual which we send to all of our guests contains our recommendations on where to eat and activities to try. The centre of Balloch is also within walking distance. Here you will find the largest supermarket in the vicinity, bars, a post office and much more.

Getting Around:
If you want to travel in style we can get discounted rates on boats on the loch, the best way to explore the islands and other areas such as Ben Lomond.
Only a 14 min walk from Balloch train station or a 25 min drive from Glasgow Airport this truly is the Highlands on your doorstep.
Other Things to Note:
We can arrange rental of a high chair and a travel cot if needed during your stay
