Lovely and clean, on the edge of the Town centre, opposite the Cathedral. Great for walking into the Centre and quiet at night, apart from the noise of people staying in the Talbot. An old coaching inn, with plenty of character and a warren of walks to get to some rooms. The room we had was a bit dark, but coped with the lights as we were visiting family, who lived local.
Staff were lovely from the guys checking us in to the housekeepers cleaning the rooms.
Would stay again
Large rooms, fantastic breakfast. Staff good, nice shower.

Clean, basic, good value.
Good value room. Clean. Everything needed and although a little old fashioned in places, fits the characterful building. TV and kettle. Some efforts underway to maintain and redecorate. You need to let the shower run for at least 2-3 min for the hot water to come through, but good flow and pressure. Staff helpful and convenient location for the City centre, just by the cathedral. There is a very handy NCP next door, which was £11.95 for an overnight stay at the time of writing, or £9.95 if you had preloaded and registered with the NCP app. Didn’t have the opportunity to try a meal or breakfast but the food looked good from a distance!

SHABBY
The room has seen much better days. Curtains hanging off the rail, threadbare carpet, dated furniture. Bathroom spacious but had an unclean feel to it. Woodwork faded and chipped. For £135, room only, for our one night stay, I was very disappointed. The advertising photos dont give you the true picture of this hotel. No lift so getting a heavy suitcase up the stairs was a challenge. I have stayed in a lot of hotel rooms. This one is memorable for all the wrong reasons. On the plus side, if you dont mind roughing it the hotel is central! Parking was a nightmare. The NCP car park entrance is blocked off on the hotel side, so navigating the one way system to get to the other side was another experience I wouldnt want to repeat. I will not be a returning guest. If you have standards this is NOT the hotel for you. If I had booked for any more than one night I would have checked out. The staff are lovely.

Could do with decor updating in bedroom's.
And bathrooms, as very dated, and un ironed curtains.
Bed was really comfortable though and clean bedding.
Bedrooms walls very noisy, also doirs could do with fitting properly so dont bang
Great location in Friar Street the prettiest and oldest street in the city centre, with good cafes and restaurants on the doorstep. Quiet. Everywhere is within walking distance. A bit shabby but it’s an old building and reasonably priced for the location and we only slept there, so good value for money
I loved my stay at Ye Olde Talbot Hotel. It’s very old and charming, he room was clean and comfortable, the restaurant serves quality food and drinks, and every member of staff from reception to food service to housekeeping were all very pleasant and helpful. I came to Worcester on a whim, but It turned out to be the best part of my vacation so far. I will certainly come back, and when I do, I’ll be booking a room at Ye Olde Talbot Hotel.

No heating on,just a portable radiator, did not heat up room enough. Room very dark, even with all the lights on. Very noisy, could hear people in other rooms and woken up by clanging and banging at 7am from restaurant below.
Great place to stay, everything accessible around also if there was no need to venture out the place itself offers more than enough. Would definitely stay again
Fair place to stay. I had room #6 and had just about the worst nights sleep I’ve had for ages. About every 20 minutes, some water would flow (I suspect the automated flush to the gents urinals) and the noise in the room was awful. During the day you may not notice it but at night it was awful. No one to really report it to so doing it now. Breakfast was great. Would stay again in a different room. Cheap but you get what you pay for I guess
