Nice couple managing the property. They accomodated a room change with no problem. Friendly and helpful. Rooms were imaculate. Live music in the lounge in the evening was an excellent bonus. We would return.
We completely enjoyed our one night here. The live music in the bar was great and the nice deck on our room was good for watching stars

Disliked: Staff & service, amenities
We didn’t see any staff. Checking in the first day I expected someone to be there. Very different. They also need more guest parking.
However the room was quite nice. You could tell they are in the process of renovating. Luckily we were only at the hotel to sleep as we were attending a family event.
The room was great. Recently renovated and updated. Room amenities were good. A/C, ceiling fan, microwave, fridge, coffee maker. The restroom was large and the shower was awesome. Quiet as well. We’d come again.
Pros: Good location, clean, quiet, good quality furniture, all look new.
Cons: Expensive, 4pm checkin is very late, the mattress and pillows are protected under the sheets with a plastic textile which makes noise and it is unconfortable.
We loved the intimate and cozy tavern on site that had some live music one of the nights we stayed - sound is great in there! Room was very clean, bed was comfortable, water temp and pressure great in shower - had microwave, fridge, sink, coffee maker and some cutlery/cups/plates/utensils in room plus a well stocked communal kitchen and access to bbq. Located close to all the things we wanted to do in the area - hiking, paddling etc. Would stay again - good value for the price!

Great room. Super clean. Loved the deck. The live music Saturday night was great.
Fanastic remote and quiet property yet close to amenities.
The room and facilities are flawlessly clean.
Perfect stop over before heading into Algonquin park for a canoe/ camping trip.
Chris was an amazing host and helped me with anything I requested. I had a lovely time at this resort. I would definitely recommend to anyone visiting the area.
Really clean and great property. You had everything needed for a great stay. The hosts are very polite and helpful. 5/5 for hospitality, location and rooms.
While it seems we were the only patrons during our stay, the location was very clean and tidy. Our stay was relaxing and we’re heavily considering coming back during peak season!
We really enjoyed our stay at HVR. There was no hassle in the check in nor the check out process.
The room and the bathroom were both super clean. The location is perfect, in plain nature. The Saturday night live music was fun!
Thanks to the host for hosting us for our 2 night stay, we definitely recommend!
