When chucking a sickie becomes way too easy, it's time to ditch the corporate cubicle and say hello to Alins!

You don't need to travel for hours to reach Alins, located 16 kilometres to the northwest of the well-known city of Andorra la Vella.

Church of Saint Stephen, Pal-Arinsal Ski Resort and Pic del Pla de l'Estany are three excellent reasons to pay a visit to Arinsal. Found 10 kilometres away, there's more than enough here to justify a day trip.

Could you do with some one-on-one time with Mother Nature? Jump in the car and visit Lake Tristiana, 12 kilometres away from Alins. You can also fill your lungs with fresh air at Lombrives Cave, 35 kilometres away.

Snow bunnies and powder hounds flock to Alins, as it offers easy access to Soldeu Ski Resort and Font-Romeu Ski Resort. Just don't forget to bring plenty of warm clothing! These snowy paradises can get icy indeed.

If you'd like to do some exploring, add a jaunt to Pal to your plan. This destination is 11 kilometres to the southeast and is the home of the Perfume Museum and Casa de la Vall. Need more ideas? Vall de Cardos is 11 kilometres to the west of Alins and offers Ecomuseum of the Valleys of the Aneu and Pleta del Prat – Tavascan.

Whether it's for shopping or to see the sights, travellers often make the trip out to La Massana, 14 kilometres to the east.
