Book Almograve hotels

We had a nice room overlooking the pool. Although we didn't have supper or breakfast, there's a very popular restaurant with an excellent view over the Mira River. The old town is only a few minutes walk away. Excellent value.

Being low season, the reception was vacant, one had to get to another hotel to register. I had an ant invasion in my room, mosquitoes buzzing at night and window which could not shut properly.

Lovely welcoming hosts. Fátima ensured we had everything we needed and even booked us dinner (Alento). We got excellent advice on planning our walk the next day, overall it was a perfect stay!

Warm reception, friendly staff, delicious meals served by attentive staff, beautiful surroundings, very comfortable rooms, lovely grounds including a pristine pool, and easy access by foot, bike or car to a sandy beach on the Atlantic!

We had a fantastic 8 night stay in this comfortable, rustic cottage, which has everything you need for an enjoyable holiday. The terrace gets the sun all day long and the views are amazing. Inside the house is very comfortable, but we didn’t spend much time inside as the outside is so fantastic. We loved watching the night’s sky and saw shooting stars every night. The cottage is in an amazing setting. There are 2 other cabins on the property, but the plot is so large that you can’t see or hear them. There is a private lake, with seating making it perfect for an evening drink or picnic! The private viewpoint overlooking the whole property is amazing. We also enjoyed feeding the chickens and geese. There is a local bar (Cafe Primo Sergio) a 30 min walk from the house which serves good, home cooked food. The owner speaks very good English and both he and his wife are really friendly. The closest town is Cercal which is about a 10 minute drive away. It has everything you need, including an excellent bakery. Communication with the owner was excellent before and during our stay.

Property was perfect for our needs. Not fancy, but very clean and enough room for my wife and I with our adult son. Although it could accomodate up to 5 guests, I would not recommend it. Quiet, little town with a couple of good restaurants and cafes. Short and easy 15 min drive to Vila Nova de Milfontes or Porto Covo with amazing beaches. Hosts were wonderful and communicative while we were there. Only slight downside was that once we left, the communication was almost non-existent although we had an important question. Overall, a great experience and would absolutely stay again.
