Pyg Pen Cottage - Quiet Rural Cottage

This property is nestled in the lovely quiet village of Rock.

It has 3 bedrooms, 2 Kingsize and one with en-suite and a twin room.
Downstairs is a front lounge with a extra lounge/diner/kitchen open plan area at the back which leads on to the enclosed garden and patio area. Ideal for dogs as the garden is secure. It also has a separate utility room and downstairs toilet.

The cottage has private parking to the front. It has Wi-fi access and all the amenities for a relaxing stay in the gorgeous county of Northumberland. It's location is ideal, being close to the beautiful coastline and also only 15 minutes from Alnwick.

Lovely cottage in peaceful setting
Spacious, well appointed cottage with large garden for toddler to run in. Plenty of crockery and utensils. Only issue was no safety gate but with 4 adults looking after him we managed without one. All thoroughly enjoyed our stay at The Pyg Pen. Loved the location. Thank you

Beautiful cottage in a lovely area
We all enjoyed our stay in this exceptionally well equipped cottage. We went for my 70th birthday celebration with our family and 2 dogs and we were all very comfortable. The cottage is spotlessly clean and very spacious.We enjoyed all the local beaches, and a boat trip to the Farne islands. We also had a wonderful afternoon tea at the Rocking horse cafe and a delicious meal overlooking the sea at the Jolly fisherman in Craster.

Great property with lots of character, the house was equipped with everything you’d need for a holiday. Garden was lovely and perfectly safe for the pooches and we were lucky enogh to bbq and really enjoyed the outdoor space.

Peaceful weekend with Friends
Property was in a lovely, peaceful location with only the sound of nature in the background. Property was clean and tidy and ample for four adults and a dog. BBQ was a great asset given we arrived in beautiful weather after a long drive. We found the bedrooms to be a bit too warm for our liking but apart from that everything else was superb. Thank you

A Return Visit
Excellent experience second time around. A property in a perfect location with perfect surroundings. I think we will be back a third time. The location is 15 minutes away from the coast in a quiet village setting. The property has all the features and amenities one would expect. Clean and well looked after. A fantastic property in a great location to explore the area. The house is just gorgeous with plenty of space. We enjoyed the open plan kitchen and living room space with the fire. The kitchen was well stocked with everything that is needed and the wine and cake left for us was greatly received. The bedrooms were great for our visit with everything being clean. Would definitely recommend and would come back again.

Fabulous Stay
This was our second stay in Pyg Pen Cottage. I was pleased to find our second stay was as impressive as our first. The property is in a lovely location making travelling around very straightforward. Inside and outside the property is very well maintained and beautifully presented. There are lots of homely touches round the cottage giving it a very cosy and comfortable feel. The welcome gifts of a bottle of wine, delicious cake and bottle of milk in the fridge were very much appreciated and enjoyed. I would thoroughly recommend this property.

Long weekend
We chose Pyg Pen Cottage for its location, near to our daughter in Blyth. Had a wonderful weekend visiting Holy island, Beadnell Beach, Dunstunbugh castle etc. Coffee and cakes in Rocking Horse cafe were amazing. The cottage was large enough for us all and the weather enabled us to use the safe garden with a toddler and dogs. Would highly recommend to anyone.

Very grateful for a rejuvenating weekend stay at this spacious, well presented family house in the small village of Rock. The owners have thought that of everything and kindly gifted us some supplies for the first night. Highly recommended and hoping to return.
