A trip to Kato Polemidia, 25 kilometres to the south, is a top priority for many. There's lots to see and do here, such as Limassol Castle and Kourion Ruins.

Keep your eyes peeled for seashells to add to your collection or try to spot creatures like clams and crabs at Finikoudes Beach and Nissi Beach. You'll find these fabulous coastlines 55 kilometres and 85 kilometres away, respectively.

Get some fresh air and soak up the natural surroundings of Aphrodite's Rock. It lies 50 kilometres away from Alona. You can also find a bit of peace and quiet at Mount Olympus, 16 kilometres away.

Sports fans don't need to worry about being left out in the cold during their visit. Makario Stadium is 35 kilometres away in Egkomi and an ideal place to get your sporting fix. Be sure to check the event schedule to see what's on.
