Sierra Vista Guest House-With Hot Tub For Stargazing-No Extra Cleaning/Pet Fees

A newly-built (just completed on 9/26/2016) guesthouse in the heart of the Old West. We also own and manage the sister property #454664. Please check out the wonderful reviews. There are no shared walls between the two properties, and they each have their own entrance.

We are located far enough out of Alpine to give you a rural feel, but in reality being just minutes from downtown, this bungalow guesthouse gives you the best of both worlds.

Sit out on the large private patio and enjoy watching the quail and other wildlife, or visit with our own assortment of livestock. There is a 6-foot privacy fence around the majority of the patio. The patio also has a 22x5-foot long sitting area that is open to our pasture to the south. You can sit out, drink your coffee, and watch the sun come up. We are pet-friendly, and can even board horses for a small fee.

After you have enjoyed your day, relax around a fire in the fire pit, or soak in the hot tub while watching the sky for shooting stars and satellites. If you feel like cooking outside, there is a brand-new KitchenAide gas grill available, or you can BBQ over the fire in the fire pit.

As you enter the bungalow, you see the attention to detail. The room has a contemporary feel, with a strong accent of the industrial age. The main room is very open, with a kitchen that comes well-equipped with high-end stainless steel appliances. It has a full-size refrigerator, double-bin sink, a very nice gas cook-top, a large convection microwave, and a dishwasher . It also has a toaster oven, automatic coffee-maker, and everything you would need to cook a wonderful meal. There is a breakfast bar that seats 4 people. It adds extra counter top space, or you can enjoy your meals there.

The living area has two large couches that double as XL twin beds. Just pull off the back cushions, put the sheets on, and you are ready for bed. The linens are stored in the space below the couches. The dining room table seats 4 comfortably, and is made from an antique drafting table. There is a 40-inch television set in the living area.

The bedroom is very spacious. It has a king-size bed, a dresser with two large drawers for folded clothes, an armoire to hang clothes, and a built-in luggage rack. There is also a 40-inch television set in the bedroom.

The bathroom has a very spa-like feel, from the tile work and the stainless steel accents to the two vessel sinks and the endless counter top space. The walk-in shower is the the size of a tiny house, with lots of room to move around. This bathroom has to be experienced to be appreciated.

There is a stackable washer and dryer, as well as a separate closet to hang your clothes. Other amenities include an iron and ironing board, another portable luggage rack, and a Pack-and-Play for those with small children.

The guesthouse is climate-controlled with a whisper-quiet heating and cooling system.

Check-in time is 4PM. Check-out time is 11AM. There is a $10/guest per night fee for more than two people.

If you are looking for a smaller, more intimate space, please check out our other property, 454664.

Come stay outside the box, and experience the true West Texas.
Make yourself comfortable in this air-conditioned vacation home, featuring a kitchen with a full-sized refrigerator/freezer and a stovetop. There's a private balcony or patio. Conveniences include a microwave and a coffee/tea maker, and housekeeping is provided on request.
Enjoy the recreation opportunities such as a spa tub or make use of other amenities including gas grills.
Guests will find features like internet access and onsite parking.

Home away from home.
This was our second visit to the property. The finishes and details are great. The location is great, and the hosts are top notch as well. We would stay here again without question and wouldn’t consider even looking at other options in the area. Recommend 10 out of 10. Thanks again Lisa and Steve.

Perfect ending to our trip
The location is great, far enough from town but not too far to drive in. Rental itself is excellent, has everything you need and more. Hosts are flexible and friendly. If you stay anywhere else in Alpine, you’re getting ripped off.

Getaway
We live on Galveston Island. We needed a getaway due to the Lone Star Bike Rally at home. We decided to go somewhere peaceful away from the constant rumble of 400000 motorcycles. We also always wanted to visit the McDonald Observatory, Fort Davis Historic Grounds and check out The Davis Mountains. Texas 118 is a great road to take to see all that. North on 118 out of Alpine we hit interstate 10 and headed east to see Balmorea state park also. Highly recommend seeing the beautiful oasis in an otherwise arid surrounding. We had a fantastic time.

Great location minutes from town but far enough out for complete peace and quiet. Amazing sunsets and night sky viewing (especially from the hot tub). Hosts were friendly and quick to respond. A perfect launching point for any other adventures in the area!

Great Weekend Getaway
Just a great property that is exactly as described. Spotlessly clean with everything you would need. The property/guest house is located on the backside of the owner's garage and faces the SW, so you have beautiful sunrises and the continuous entertainment of their goats, chickens, etc. I would guess that this is a fairly new build and it is exactly what we were looking for in an anniversary weekend getaway. The property is on the northern edge of the town of Alpine, very quiet and peaceful with little to no traffic on the road to the property. I took a morning walk each day at sunrise and walked down the middle of the road just enjoying nature and the peace and quiet. Beautiful night skies to boot. It is conveniently located to everything in Alpine, at the northern edge of true Big Bend country, 20 minutes from Marathon, 30 minutes from Marfa, 20 minutes from Fort Davis and 45 minutes from the McDonald Observatory. Love every minute of our stay and hated to leave. Owners are extremely nice and a pleasure to work with.

Exactly what I needed
I cried when I left. I liked everything about the stay. Beautiful, quiet, peaceful, clean, comfortable, safe. And the farm animals were a wonderful surprise. And the hot tub was the icing on the cake. I needed to get away from the city with the comforts of home and the owners served a great stay! I will be back.

Wonderful Property
This rental far exceeded our expectations. It was probably the best short-term rental we have ever stayed in. It was a very relaxing place to stay and the view of the distant mountains and local animals was very peaceful. In side the home was very modern with a touch of rustic decor, just right for its location. The furniture, including the bed, was perfect, extremely comfortable. Kitchen was just what we needed and we could have even cooked more. Full laundry. Everything was sparkling clean and quite new. Directions sent for check-in were very specific and helpful. Check-in was easy.

Perfect Stay
We absolutely loved staying here! The home is beautifully decorated and has a feeling of a cross between a fancy hotel and homey vibe! We loved the livestock, the rock we get to sign and how every little detail was thought of to make this a comfortable stay! Thank you so much for everything and we will be recommending this place to everyone who passes through Alpine TX.

This guest house was perfect for our stay only a few miles from town. It was clean, modern with unusual eclectic decor, comfortable bed, and great bathroom with double sinks and huge walk-in shower. It has scenic picture view windows of the mountains and fun to watch the farm animals. Our dog was welcome. Hosts were friendly!

Even Better Than Described
This property was even better than the pictures and exceeded expectations. Absolutely immaculate space with everything you could need. Located in a safe and quiet little neighborhood about 2-3 miles from town. It's also very private, especially the space where the hot tub is. I made fast friends with the goats and chickens too, which was an enjoyable bonus. Cannot recommend Lisa and Steve's place more highly. Book it!
