Modern Apartment In The Heart Of The Old Town

The Costa Blanca region of Spain offers year round sunshine, the white sandy beaches are peppered with unspoilt fishing villages and historic towns. Altea is the jewel of this spectacular region and our apartment is in the heart of the town. Altea is surrounded by olive groves, pine forests and the sparkling blue waters of the Mediterranean. The apartment is within easy walking distance of the magnificent Church of the Virgen del Consuelo, which can be seen from the terrace. In front of the church is a beautiful plaza lined with restaurants, cafés and bars, from this point there are numerous meandering streets leading to the beach/promenade area. Some of Altea's best Spanish and International restaurants are here. Altea has many fiestas throughout the year, with the largest and most famous being the Moors and Christians fiesta in September, there are three days of celebration, this is one festival not to be missed.

Wonderful break in Altea - Perfect accommodation
The location and standard of the apartment was perfect. We were minutes walk along cobbled streets from the centre of Altea old town with a stunning square in front of the church, plus several bars, cafes and restaurants in close proximity. A further 5 minutes walk down the hill was Altea beach front/promenade which we visited most mornings for coffee and something to eat. We were able to check in slightly early (excellent communications from Shirley our local contact for checking in), plus there was flexibility for the checking out time on the final day as we had a late flight. The apartment came with a basement parking space which was suitable for the small car we hired. We highly recommend staying here and plan to return. Mark, thank you so much for the help and messages in the lead up to our stay, plus the flexibility with check in/check out times. Much appreciated.

Beautiful place to stay!
We were in Altea for a wedding and found this wonderful apartment just on the outskirts of the most beautiful old town of Altea. The apartment has everything you need - a home away from home - and having a pool just a couple of steps away was a massive bonus! It was spotlessly clean - just perfect! I would also like to give a massive thanks to Shirley, who not only collected and delivered us from/to the airport, but also saved us from being stranded and took us to the wedding! I would highly recommend staying here, and if we return to Altea,we would definitely stay here! Thank you Mark and Shirley.

This is a really superb place to stay. From booking to leaving everything was perfect. Shirley and Kevin were so helpful and being collected and returned from and to the airport a real bonus. The apartment was spotless and has a well equipped kitchen with everything needed for making meals. The bed was comfortable with lots of hanging space for clothes. Lovely towels and a spacious bathroom. A real bonus having the pool a step away from the sunny terrace terrace. The well stocked supermarket was nearby and a fabulous patisserie just down the steps . An ideal location for restaurants and all amenities. I hope I get the opportunity to stay again when next I am in Altea. thank you for such a great stay.

Great property, a few minutes walk from the old town
We enjoyed our stay at this apartment and would recommend it thoroughly. The location is great, right beside the beautiful old town where we ate every night in the wide variety of affordable restaurants. It is a 10 min walk from the sea front. The property has 2 beds and also a fold up bed. There is parking and a small pool which is easy to access from the apartment as it is just out the gate. We were the main users of the pool. There is a local supermarket 2 mins walk away. Mark (and Shirley) were very helpful and responsive and there was a nice bottle of wine on arrival. If we’re ever in Altea again we’ll be back.

Winter Holiday
Spent four weeks in the comfortable and well equipped apartment. Owner Mark was excellent to deal with and Shirley, the local contact was very helpful. The weather was not as good as we had hoped but very pleasant when the sun was shining. Plenty of restaurants in the nearby Old Town, we liked Shabby Chic, and along the long promenade, we liked Classic India and Fresco. We walked a lot and took the bus to Clape, the tram to Denia, Benidorm and pretty Vila Joiosa. Unfortunately we had a medical emergency and one of us spent two nights in the Hospital De La Vila Joiosa where the care was excellent!

My third happy stay!
I regularly choose to come stay here when visiting with family, because its comfortable, easy to manage, very located for walking into town - both the central hilltop plaza and the beachfront - as well as coming in by car. Owner Mark is very responsive as well as Shirley the local manager.

Glad to be staying at this 2-bed flat again - its easy walking distance to central plaza near the church, or down to the beach. Shops nearby. Garage parking, and easy access via car to get in and out of town. Fast response from property owner, and additional support close at hand.

Fantastic
Great apartment, quiet, well equipped, nice pool, safe area. Great fans and aircon. Location great for old town and walk downhill to the beach. Luz was waiting for us with the keys and easy to get in touch with her if we had any problems which we didn't. Only downside for us were the hills but when we went to the beach we took a 5 euro taxi back. Need more information in the apartment re where the supermarket is and directions to old town without having to walk up lots of stairs as we had to experiment which was not great in the heat. Otherwise everything great and would stay again.

Beautiful Altea
Great property with everything you could want for a fabulous holiday. Ideally placed for the stunning old town where we spent every evening. Great restaurants and bars with the most traditional laidback Spanish atmosphere but at the same time bustling. Did not have one bad meal. The beach is very pebbly but El Albir nearby is better but if you want sand, Calpe and Javea are the ones to head for. Enjoy!!

The apartment was perfect for what we required, clean and tidy and an excellent location. Small pool for the kids. Parking space too, which is a big bonus for central Altea. Kitchen was well stocked with cups and plates etc., and plenty of towels, including some for the pool. Prompt correspondence with the owner and housekeeper very helpful. Thank you for a great stay. We would highly recommend this accommodation for anyone visiting Altea.

Wonderful stay in Altea
Lovely apartment set right in the heart of Altea. It really is a home from home. You feel like you are staying in someone’s home rather than a holiday apartment, it has everything you need. Very good air conditioning throughout (which was very welcome as it was so hot while we were there). The apartment is on the ground floor, next to a small shared pool which we had to ourselves much of the time. Mark was very helpful when we booked the apartment and answered our questions very promptly. There was a lovely added touch of a welcome card & bottle of wine from Mark and his family. Luz is the local key holder who we met on arrival. She is lovely and really helpful, she kept in touch with us via WhatsApp with helpful tips and to check everything was ok. The apartment is just on the edge of the old town and is just a few minutes walk to the many bars, shops and restaurants. We had a wonderful few days in Altea and have no hesitation in recommending this apartment. We will hopefully be back again!

Matk was very helpful when booking the apartment and sorting out all the arrangments travel cot and high chair. The apartment was more than we expected it was like being home from home. Lovely apartment with all the home comforts. Very clean and spacious set right in the heart of Altea. The added touch of a welcome card and bottle of wine on arrival was so lovemy. Luz who met us to let us in and show us around was very friendly. As this was our 1st family holiday with our 8month old daughter we couldnt of asked for a better place to stay. Thank you mark for making are holiday one to remember. I would definitely recommend this place and we will hopefully be back again.

Fabulous apartment in beautiful town
Wonderful week in a lovely apartment in beautiful Altea. Organisation was incredibly straightforward as communication from Mark is prompt and he was very accommodating. The apartment is extremely comfortable, very well appointed - and was exceptionally clean. Luz, who welcomed us, was charming and anxious to help. The location of the apartment is key. Being on the ground floor of a small complex it is a handful of steps from the patio to the pool, which we rarely didn't have to ourselves. It is also fabulously located for the restaurants and bars of the old town, a 3-minute walk to a great bakery and a supermarket and 10 minutes from the beach. I can't fault it!

A great apartment in a fantastic location
A beautiful apartment with everything you could ever require. Like a home from home! A pretty Patio leads onto a quiet pool. Almost felt like our own private pool. Location couldn’t have been better. A 5 minute walk leds you to the Old Town with fantastic restaurants and bars set around a busy square. The Beach (pebble) is a 10 minute walk; is set alongside restaurants and bars all reasonably priced. There are a lot of steep hills and steps but you do get used to them! On arrival we were greeted by Luz who was friendly and helpful. Mark was very prompt to reply to any queries or questions. We would definitely recommend.

We stayed in this lovely appartment for 10 nights. We chose this appartment because it had two bedrooms and a bath. The bath has been taken out and a walk in shower been put in its place - that is my only negative, which will probably not bother any other person! The appartment is fully equipped with absolutely everything you could possibly need. The pool was rarely used by anyone else and was right outside the appartment, almost felt like our own private pool! We didn't arrive until quite late and a lovely lady called Luz met us. She explained everything we needed to know and even gave me her wotsapp so I could contact her if necessary (which it wasn't) Altea is very, very hilly, you will probably go home fitter than you arrived! The beach is not at all sandy, not even pebbly, but stoney. There are lovely beaches up and down the coast. There are plenty of restaurants and local cafe bars all very reasonably priced. There are also plenty of shops and a couple off supermarkets for all your bits and pieces. The train was very cheap and reliable, and we used it a lot to go sightseeing. We did have a beach day at nearby Calpe which is a lovely town a little way along the coast. We heard very few other English voices here which was a bonus for us. All in all we had lovely time and if we were to return to this area we wouldn't hesitate to return to this appartment.

Lovely apartment in a great location
Thanks Mark, Luz and Coni for a fabulous holiday. Communication was excellent from start to finish and everyone was so helpful. The apartment is in a quiet residential block where this apartment has access directly to the pool area. It was so quiet though, we had the pool to ourselves all week. Only downside is that it is closed from 15 - 17 for the Spanish Siesta. The apartment is located in a great position, right next to the old town which is best explored by walking up the many steps from all sides (you do get used to it !). There are loads of good restaurants in the small streets and also down at the beach area which is a 10 minute walk. There are a couple of supermarkets within a 5 minute walk - we used Hiperbee mostly as it was a bit bigger and didn't close for the siesta. A fabulous bakery (panadería) was used every day as well for fresh bread which was also 5 minutes walk. The underground parking was great too for keeping the car safe and cool. In summary, we loved Altea and loved the apartment!

Relaxing and perfect
We stayed in June for a week and were blessed with superb sunshine all week. Booking was easy and had excellent communications with the host in getting the keys etc to the apartment. The neighbours are all lovely and welcoming. The apartment has excellent facilities like fast broadband, Smart TV (for Netflix etc) and Digital UK TV, underground parking if needed. The apartment is very clean throughout with a nice patio area by the pool. The local area has supermarkets, plenty of lovely restaurants and a cool ice cream parlour. Nice nights out. Altea has a stoney beach but there are plenty of sandy beaches a short drive away with Calpe and Benidorm either side. We had a brilliant relaxing time and would definitely recommend it for anyone who are looking for a clean and well equipped apartment in an ideal location to everywhere else. Great for couples or a couple of couples. Thank you for a great stay. W & L
