Bi-annual one night stay
We travel to and from NV to TX twice a year and we always choose to stay at The Big Texan Motel! We love the atmosphere, keycode check in/out, and pet friendly!! Furthermore, the beds are comfy and we feel safe :)

Going on a roadtrip with my family and this hotel has been the best we’ve stayed at so far! The rooms are spacious, and clean! I love the decor. The water pressure in the shower was fantastic! Mattress was nice and soft. I could go on and on LOL oh also super pet friendly, and horse friendly if you got em. Can’t wait to come back on our next roadtrip!

OK stay, would not stay again
We stayed here for one night passing through on the way home. The room was OK. The pictures make it look much nicer than it actually is. The rooms are pretty dated, felt dirty, and they use keypad locks rather than room keys. The check-in process was very informal. I was handed a card with a code on it for the door. It is a little concerning having those keypad locks rather than a more traditional room lock that most hotels have. We didn’t necessarily feel super safe with that lock type - especially being right next to a highway. The gal who checked us in was fine, but the process for check-in was so quick that it did feel a little like she was trying to get me out of the office as quickly as possible. I also find it strange that they have a sign up stating that they are going to charge you for anything that goes missing in the room. Kind of interesting considering they don’t even take a credit card at check-in. It also makes it feel a bit accusatory toward their customer. It was nice and convenient to be able to stay right next to the restaurant and go have dinner and come back to the room. However, I think this is a one and done stay for us.
