Friendly staff, great location, hotel dated
Hotel has an excellent location right in the middle of Ambleside. Very short walk to shops/pubs/restaurants. Friendly staff, comfy bed, excellent breakfast. However the Hotel is getting dated and could do with a freshen up, guess it depends what your after and how much time you will spend in the room.

An excellent stay here lovely clean room fantastic breakfasts an the best hosts, a lovely location in ambleside with lots of walks and easy access to the lakes from the nearby pier. Highly recommend will definitely be back 😀

Great position
We stayed in the superior room which had a 4 poster bed. Smallish but very comfortable and excellent value for the money. Breakfast was average. Large car park as well and right on the centre of Ambleside .

Walking holiday in Ambleside
Great location for an easy walk into Ambleside with all its pubs and restaurants. Not a bad walk down to the waterside either. Convenient parking. Friendly staff and great breakfasts. Rooms were clean and well maintained albeit old- world style. My only complaint was that the shower water pressure was a little lacking - especially if someone else in the building was showering at the same time. Cute 4 poster bed !!

Excellent base for exploring the Lake District
Wonderful view. Excellent base for exploring the Lake District. Small car park, be warned on weekends it can be tight, especially if you have a large car and the hotel is full. Breakfast excellent. Staff very friendly and helpful. Only downside - our room could have done with a new shower hose.

Great location but a little dated.
We booked our 4 night stay here from review recommendations. The staff are very very nice and breakfast is lovely as is the breakfast room. The B&B is in a great location being close to all you need including restaurants, cafés, bus stops and some lovely walks. The rooms as we read are dated and could do with some money spending in them. For us it probably wasn’t quite comfortable enough after a long walk and back in our our bedroom. So although I’m sure lots of people would disagree we probably wouldn’t stay here again.

Great property in a great location. In town so it is easy to walk to shops, restaurants and pubs. Public transit and day tripper stops just around the corner.

Friendly staff, great location with parking, nice rooms but 4 poster bed small. Breakfast was ok - good choice of cooked food but no pastries, croissants, cheese, meat or prepared fruit, only some fruit in a bowl, which was past its best.

This is a great place to stay a 5minute walk from centre of town it is opposite the park which has crazy golf, pitch and putt, tennis and bowling something for everyone, This B and B offers excellent breakfast options and all quality ingredients cooked well
