Just off the busy highway along a commercial strip, Tim Horton's across the street, a generous box breakfast while the kitchen/dining area was under reconstruction... all that I needed for my travel to Cape Breton for Celtic Colours!

Hotel was clean. Unfortunate that there is no elevator, but this was not a deal breaker. There was not enough space (tables and chairs) for breakfast. A bus load of students took over the space and all other late comers for breakfast had to take the food back to our rooms to eat. Desk staff made no attempt to encourage the students to clear out after they were finished eating.

We booked with low expectations based on previous reviews. The location was great for us, close to amenities and easy to find. The lady working the front desk at check in was wonderful, very friendly and helpful. Our room was clean however there was a very strong musty smell in the room that really bothered my husband and I. We were going to request another room but we spoke to 2 other couples (one on the ground floor with us and one on the second floor) and they both said the same about their rooms. Based on this, we wouldn't return.
