Clean and comfortable

We had a very comfortable stay here, with a clean and spacious room. The saunas are great along with a nice relaxation area. We dined in the hotel as the weather was bad outside with snow and ice. The wait for the food was a little long as we unfortunately arrived in the restaurant just after a couple of groups. However,. when it did come the food was very good. Breakfast in the morning was a hot and cold buffet, though there was not much left of the hots and we again, arrived just after the large group from the night before...

100% superb!

As a rule I never eat in the hotel as I use it as an excuse to stretch my legs around the town that I am staying in and then eat local. So I took a short drive across the Belgian border to Sankt Vith. Pleasant enough but not a great choice of open restaurants so I went back to the hotel to eat, and boy am I glad I did! This hotel is t he only thing in Winterspelt apart from a hairdresser and bakery and must be the cleanest, outside of a hospital operating theatre. IT IS SPOTLESS! But it is not clinical. Staff are friendly and helpful the location-idyllic and the food exceptional. I had a fantastic dinner in the hotel restaurant, it really was excellent (onion soup followed by rhumtopf). Breakfast buffet was the length of a cricket pitch, fresh and tasty. Bedroom was again spotless, quiet, comfortable and had a lovely balcony with a view of the valley. Please don’t stay here as I want make sure I can get in next time.

Absolutely splendid hotel

We went as a group of 24 on a charity cycle ride through Europe. We chose this hotel due to its location. Beautiful surroundings. Hotel was clean and the service was superb. Rooms were nice and the majority had balconies and terraces.

Value for money

This is a Nice hotel for people whom like to walk, bike or just be in a quiet place for Some days. For me it was just for one night as a quiet stop on a business trip. At breakfast they made me scrambled eggs and the whole breakfast was great. In the restaurant they are serving solid good for a reasonable price. Everything was VALUE FOR MONEY

Friendly hotel, easy access to spa race circuit.

Stayed at this hotel for 2016 f1 go race. Good location with access to circuit in under an hour on race day including queues. Would be 30 mins without traffic. Staff all friendly and helpful. Food good quality and choice.

Lovely hotel and good value

Two of us stayed for 5 days for the 24 hours of Spa. Really easy drive to the circuit. The hotel is in a small village just off a major road. Very quiet and scenic. Staff very friendly and hotel very clean and nicely decorated. Plentiful continental breakfast. Restaurant very good (perhaps not for vegetarians)if you like lots of meat dishes (I do) well cooked and presented at a reasonable price. Excellent value and would certainly stay again

Good hotel just over the border in Germany

The hotel has just gone through a major refurbishment and it is of a very high standard. The staff were very friendly and spoke English. The food was of average hotel food, nothing too fancy but ok.

Very good

Very quiet location but easily accessible to motorway. Excellent staff, good breakfast. Modern, clean if a little basic rooms but comfortable enough. My only issue is the noise from the restaurant/function room with chairs scraping across the floor into the late night., was very much an issue on the night they had a function which got quite noisy - this is the only reason I've marked down the room comfort.

A day trip from the English Channel

This hotel is an extended village pub with excellent modern accommodation. The village is now bypassed by the motorway linking Witlich (D) and St Vith (B) so is relatively quiet but with church bells from across the road. Reception and restaurant staff very pleasant. Modern glass lift takes you to bedroom floors. Some residual tobacco smell on ground floor but with no internal smoking allowed in UK hotels' public areas anymore it came as a bit of a surprise. Adequate outside parking off main road. Room well fitted built into roof space. Good value for money and a useful overnight stop when travelling from UK into Germany. Very rural surrounds so car needed if using hotel as base but walking seemed to be a popular pastime for holidaymakers.
