The hotel has great character and is in a fantastic location for walking to restaurants and shops. Our room was big enough and the beds were comfortable. The main issue was that our room was on the top (5th) floor and we had large, heavy suitcases with us. Not only is there no elevator, but the stairs are very steep and winding. We’ll never forget hauling those bags up the stairs…It turned out ok, but I would have booked a different hotel if I had known. Our room also faced the busy street, with a bar across the street that doesn’t close until 4:00 AM on weekends. The patrons at the outside tables were loud. We got used to the noise from the trolley cars passing right outside, but the noise of people shouting was harder to tune out. The hotel provided ear plugs, which did help somewhat.

This place is great - terrific location, right on Leidseplein but far enough away from the noise and bustle. The rooms were good size, really clean and the staff are great. The stairs (we were on the 3rd) were insane but honestly it adds to the charm. Can’t say enough good things about this place, comfy, clean, location and great staff. As a bonus - easy walk to amazing cafes and canals.

Good stay for a family.
Good location for a family as it was in a nice area that had everything close by without being in the red light district. The staff was helpful and friendly too. Also it had a balcony and AC! I would recommend.

Location Location Location. Very central and easy access to tram. Rooms are extremely cramped. Would have been better for solo travelers. Overall it's a decent place. My only gripe was how small the rooms were, the towels were shedding and no air conditioning. Otherwise very nice. 4/5

The room was very dusty, dust was flying in the air, we were disturbed even while sleeping at night, and the sounds from other rooms were echoing as if they were talking in the room. Other guests staying at the hotel at night were shouting and chatting in the corridor. Please take precautions for this. Also, can you please put slippers in the rooms.
