This was a hidden gem of a resort with a perfect location. Unlike a traditional hotel, this hotel is spread out with beautiful grounds and scenic views in all directions. The architecture and decor is in keeping with the surrounding countryside with clean and well kept rooms. The breakfast was delicious with multiple choices for various dietary preferences. It is literally a 5 minute walk from the train station for quick and easy access to many restaurants and attractions. I highly recommend this place over many pricier hotels and would definitely stay here again.

Everything about El Albergue is incredible. Beautiful rooms and outdoor sitting areas, comfy bed, wonderful service. The entire property is spectacular with gardens, a distillery and coffee roasting. The morning breakfast was perfect before a day of exploring Ollantaytambo. The close proximity to the train station was also a plus! Oh and the restaurant and Cafe Mayu...So good! I hope I can return one day as I just loved the warmth of this hotel as well as the town of Ollantaytambo.

The owner is a very kind person, always be so helpful for advice; the room is clean and cozy, it’s a good place for the stay.

I can’t say enough wonderful things about my experience at Hotel Samanapaq! From the moment I arrived, I was greeted with warm smiles and exceptional hospitality that made me feel right at home. The lush, tranquil gardens surrounding the property were an oasis of serenity—a perfect escape after exploring the magical streets of Ollantaytambo. The rooms were immaculately clean, spacious, and beautifully decorated, blending modern comforts with traditional charm. The bed was so comfortable that I slept better than I have in years! The complimentary breakfast was a delightful spread of fresh, local ingredients—each bite a delicious start to the day. The hotel’s location couldn’t be more perfect! It’s just a short walk to the town center, yet it feels tucked away in its own peaceful world. The staff went above and beyond, offering fantastic tips for exploring the area and making sure every detail of my stay was perfect. If you’re visiting the Sacred Valley, staying at Hotel Samanapaq is an absolute must. It’s not just a hotel; it’s an experience I will cherish forever. I can’t wait to return!

What an amazing place! The Stardome is beautiful, both the structure itself and the gorgeous property it is located on. We stayed in the Puma room which had a beautiful view over the valley below, looking straight out at the mountains. The room was cozy and luxurious, with a great bathroom too. Breakfast at the restaurant was delicious, and had an awesome garden below the window where we could watch exotic hummingbirds. Unfortunately it was cloudy and rainy on the one night that we stayed so we didn’t see any stars, but we did get to listen to the sound of raindrops hitting the dome and saw some cool lightning. The road up is a quite crazy, but our driver handled it well. It is near Ollantaytambo town…about a 25 minute drive or so. Really cool place to stay and worth stopping for a night or two! We stayed on our way to Machu Picchu.
