This property seems like it would be a nice being located between the river and Anchorage. And it really could be if the homelessness problem were better addressed. Ok, that's not the hotels fault. How about dealing with the amplified house party in the room upstairs which took over 2 hours to clear (with assistance from local police). Ok, maybe not totally the hotels fault again though if hope they could have detected that in the first 2 hours before I called to complain. Then let me discuss the breakfast that ran out of cereal, milk, and coffee, by 7:30 am. I've had a LOT of hotel breakfasts before and my expectations are low. This place set the bar for the WORST. Then they somehow lowered the bar the next day by not even supplying the coffee milk and cereal on the weekday. Oh golly, did I forget to mention the pathetic "pool"? This thing is barely a hot tub. And again, on day two, the indoor pool was drained to a puddle. I won't come back to this place if they fly me back and give me free lodging. DO NOT STAY HERE!!!!!!

The room was big and clean. Beds were comfortable. However, it is right by the train and it went through all night blowing the horn multiple times each time it went through. Thankfully we were only there one night, but was really annoying. Breakfast was less than ideal. Pretty gross and slim pickings.

It said downtown in rhe description, but it really isnt. It's a bit of a walk to go eat. If a driver is available, they'll take you or pick you up. The train station is right next to the hotel. There was dirty laundry in the room when we arrived and the toilet ran all night. The shower curtain was missing the liner. Big dirty spot on rug...

The train station is right in front of the hotel so the have trains going all night on both the front and back of the hotel. We book 3 nights there 1 night first then took a trip came back for the last 2 nights. First room smelled like smoke and very musty/ moldy. They are redoing this old hotel. When we came back for the last 2 nights that room was MUCH better. Just very noisy with the trains.

it is under construction - carpet had rips and stains.. across from the train - lots of train noise toot, toot early and late.. They didn't have our room so we got another one it had a king but it had the rug issues etc no coffee makers in rooms Breakfast was average vs others we stayed at..

Our room barely had any shower pressure. The hair dryer was on the fritz & would randomly stop working. I was afraid to walk on the carpet. The communal carpet never looked clean. No KP index advertised for the Aurora. The shuttle service staff was great. Alaska railroad is in within walking distance (2 blocks), easy to walk around downtown Anchorage

They were unable to pick us up at the airport, the room was moldy and smelled bad, the carpet was damp in spots, no restaurants or stores within more than a mile, the TV sucked (no FNC channel). They lied about the TV problem. We asked for another room, because of the smell. They gave us another that was worse. No door latch, the sink had a large crack from the drain to the overflow, no hair dryer. The TV remote was missing several buttons. When we checked out we had appointment for a shuttle to the station but the driver showed up 30 minutes late. For dinner we asked for a shuttle to a restaurant but they said it would be at least 30 mins. They told us to take a cab. For breakfast they said no orange juice, apple juice or yogurt until tomorrow. All of this for $330 a night! Wyndham should be ashamed, but also Expedia for listing this decrepit property

Comfortable Stay
Comfortable hotel with good climate control. Situated next to a railroad track there are the occasional train whistles which could interfere with sleep. Overall clean and quiet.

People on bench next to entrance smoking. Flies in main lobby. Young gentleman at front desk very friendly. In the room large stains on rugs. Wallpaper in corner bubbling as of from water damage. Clock and end tables had a residue on them. I called front desk about the lack of cleanliness. She came up and said we should have told them right away. It’s 5 and you checked in at 4. We took an Uber at 4:30 just to get there. She then said they are in the process of renovations all area hotels are like this. Plan was to sight see next day and leave bags at desk. Did not feel safe doing that. Walking to our room many doors were propped open by safety bar. No idea if people in those rooms. I go camping in a tent that’s cleaner than this place. I’m fine with old but not clean. Took the loss and went to another hotel. Very uncomfortable feeling there. Not worth $300. Close to train tracks too.

Property was dirty and not well kept. We ran out of toilet paper and struggled to get help from cleaning staff. Area around hotel had lots of vagrants and was sketchy to walk around. Hotel shuttle drivers where outstanding. Highly unlikely i would stay here again.
