Gather in the Main House or outside on the lawn and take in the natural beauty of California Gold Country. Hit the restored old Bar(n) as it's filled with games (and a pool table, foosball, darts, and a poker table), wet bar, music, TV’s and a wood stove - a perfect place to meet up and relax. The lovely heated (seasonally) pool and adjacent full kitchen, picnic area and many treasures about the property are sure to delight you!
What was once a stagecoach stop and a camp for weary miners during the Gold Rush is now La Honda Park, a beautiful private park complete with well-appointed cozy cabins, a main house, and all the modern-day accoutrements you can imagine. Onsite bocce ball, table tennis, a pool table, a large swimming pool, a horseshoe pit, fire pit, arbored picnic areas, wifi, and several full kitchens onsite make La Honda Park an amazing place to host a relaxing family event, a couples weekend getaway or a corporate retreat.
We at La Honda Park aim to provide you a genuine Gold Country setting, but with all the creature comforts of today’s world. With over 1,200 feet of Angels Creek frontage, there is no shortage of places to explore and enjoy the natural beauty. The miner’s trail from Angels Camp to Murphys is still visible on the east hillside. During the Gold Rush, the creek was an accessible and common spot for travelers to water their horses.
The “weir” at the upper lawn was the original “swimming hole” built in October 1945. At that time the property was a camp offering sites with fire pits and 10 cent showers. In 1961 the pool was built and the main house was a restaurant and bar with a small general store. Wander the grounds and enjoy the many unique sites and amenities of the property’s rich history.
Spend a few days at La Honda Park and you'll already be talking about your next visit.
