Great Leicester Stay
The Belmont is a very nice stay and very central in Leicester. Convenient from the train station and also with its own (free!) parking. The parking was very busy on the evening I arrived and yet there was still enough space. I stayed for one night after my office Christmas party. Access to the hotel is simple during the night (I re-entered around 1am). Staff were very courteous. The room was comfortable and spacious. I had breakfast included and it was quite tasty the next day, and didn't close too early (open until 10:45). Furthermore, the staff went above and beyond when I forgot a book in my room after I had checked out. They kept it safe and made sure I was able to get it back when I dropped by the next day!

We have stayed at The Belmont many times in the past and always have a wonderful stay from the greet on arrival at check in right to check out - however on this occasion I was disappointed upon my arrival at approx 1:50pm. I asked the man on Reception if our room was possibly ready ( I am aware check in is 3pm) - on all of our previous stays we have always been lucky enough to be allowed in our room 2ish when we arrive in Leicester. The tone of the comment I received about 3pm check in made me feel uncomfortable. We did get into the room early but felt his approach could have been better. Our room 222 did have an odd smell (never experienced a smell in room before). I am usually full of praise for The Belmont- we love our stays here but on this occasion did feel a little disappointed.

The hotel is historic and interesting, unique in its layout, but modern in terms of plumbing, wi-fi, and decoraton of the rooms. The location is convenient to the train, to excellent dining, a wonderful museum, and a fantastic pedestrian walkway that leads to the city centre. The food that the hotel offers is superb, and the breakfast options are wonderful. The service staff both in the restaurant and at the front desk are very friendly, helpful and likeable, and went out of their way to make our extended stay more easy and pleasant. The whole hotel was beautifully decorated for Christmas, and several parties were held there during our stay with no inconvenience to the resident guests. I would return to this hotel in a flash! Wonderful place.

A Classic British Stay
The Belmont hotel offers a quintessential British hotel experience. The warm welcome upon check-in sets a pleasant tone for your stay. The hotel's free parking is a definite plus, especially for those traveling by car. The rooms, while clean and spacious, show their age through slightly outdated furniture. A small heater was necessary to keep the room comfortably warm. The bathroom, though clean, also exhibited some signs of time. Overall, the Belmont hotel is a solid choice for those seeking a traditional British hotel experience. While the facilities could benefit from a modern update, the friendly service and convenient amenities make it a decent option.

Cleanist hotel I've been in.

Lovely beautique hotel with lovely spacious rooms. The food is reasonable and fairly priced. Staff are friendly and accommodating. For an overnight stay with was very good value. Also very quiet and peaceful in the room overlooking the park. I would stay again.

The room was lovely, don’t like the reuse your towel policy. Was inform when asked that breakfast would be until 10.30am so arranged to meet at 9.30 colleague had to take a call before he sat down. I was then told I would need to finish up as breakfast finishes at 10am as there was a function straight after. I explained what we had been told to no real response or apology. On checkout I witnessed the staff sitting enjoying breakfast no function. I complained at reception but no real apology or offer to refund the missed breakfast just “you shouldn’t have been told that” Very poor service
