Hotel options in Antigua's downtown area are pretty thin on the ground. But if you're okay with a short drive, you can easily stay in one of the 2 digs within 10 kilometres of the action.

After a long day of sightseeing in the city centre, crawl under the covers and into a cosy bed at B&B on Sunrise and Ned Kelly's Motel.

If you're still looking for a place to stay and none are up to par, you could investigate the McNevin's Maryborough Motel or the Blue Shades Motel. The first is 15 kilometres away, while the second is 14 kilometres away. If these aren't your style, we'd recommend the Maryborough Motel and Conference Centre, which is 15 kilometres from all the action.

Attractions and Hotels Near Antigua

Sure, you could spend your entire time just in Antigua, but you're gonna have FOMO. For some truly epic adventures, you've gotta take a look around Queensland's other sights. The area is known for having incredible beaches, rainforest, tablelands and desert landscapes. After staring slack-jawed at nature's masterpieces, check out popular tourist sights like craft workshops. If the weather is nice (or even if it's not), try some popular local activities like hiking, horse riding and four-wheel driving.

Looking for more things to do? Spend some time checking out the Hervey Bay Botanic Garden and the Esplanade. You'll find them in Nikenbah, 40 kilometres to the northeast of Antigua. If you're keen to visit Nikenbah, look into the Best Western Ambassador Motor Lodge and Beachside Motor Inn. 45 kilometres to the northeast of Antigua you can also stay at Urraween, home to the Villa Cavour Bed & Breakfast and White Crest Luxury Apartments. If you stay in Urraween, set aside some time to visit Great Sandy Straits Marina and Reef World.

Unless you're going to set up camp at Hervey Bay Airport, it might be wise to book some accommodation. The Grange Resort is not too far away, or you could always travel into Antigua's centre. It's 45 kilometres away.
