Modern Country Homestead with breathtaking rural views

AroonaLea is a modern homestead with a touch of country charm. It is a haven of peace, privacy and luxury with breathtaking pastoral views to forested hills.
You will have the 30 acre property to yourselves to explore and enjoy.

The homestead, which is fully air conditioned, has a pool, firepit and park like grounds with a BBQ/picnic area by a flowing river at the end of the paddock. It is situated less than 15 minutes drive to Mudgee on the Sydney side of town, close to some of Mudgee’s finest wineries.

The homestead has 2 separate living areas. The main living, dining and kitchen area has a cathedral ceiling with high windows at each end offering views of nearby hilltops on both sides of the house.

AroonaLea comfortably sleeps 16 in six king rooms (3 with ensuite), and a share room which sleeps 4 (3 in king single beds and one in a single loft bed). Every room in the house boasts spectacular rural and garden views.

A large fully equipped kitchen with plenty of serving ware, crockery, cutlery, glassware, large pots, electric frypan, rice cookers, slow cooker, 2 full size fridges, along with BBQ and both indoor and outdoor dining comfortably seating 16, makes the house ideal for entertaining large family or friend groups. There is separate crockery, cutlery and acrylic glasses to take for BBQs or picnics by the river.

2 coffee machines, 2 kettles, 2 coffee plungers and 2 four slice toasters makes cooking breakfast for 16 a breeze. A generous supply of coffee pods and a good selection of tea is provided.

Luxury bed linen (including electric blankets), pillows, towels, pool towels and toiletries are provided. Each bathroom has a hairdryer.
There is a selection of both indoor and outdoor games, including a 1000 piece poker set, and a large selection of DVD’s.

Free Wi-fi.

While we love pets, AroonaLea is a pet free zone (as pets are not allowed in the house, this is for the safety of your pet).

There's a private patio. A kitchen is outfitted with a refrigerator, an oven, and a stovetop. A Smart television and a DVD player are provided for your entertainment, while complimentary wireless internet access keeps you connected. The bathroom has a bathtub and a hair dryer. Milestone in Mudgee
Our family was visiting Mudgee for a birthday milestone and we absolutely loved Aroonalea! The location, property features, homestead and facilities were second to none. Annie was such a responsive host and her attention to detail meant that nothing was overlooked to make our stay so enjoyable. The outlook was beautiful and the home design, including four bathrooms, easily accommodated our large family. We were also impressed by the duplicate appliances, large dining areas and numerous games which made entertaining our large group so much easier. We highly recommend Annie and her property to those that want to experience a truly memorable getaway. Hopefully, we'll be back there again soon!

The perfect environment
Annie's home was the perfect environment to facilitate our work retreat. Everything about it exceeded expectations and the attention to detail was second to none. Perfect accommodation for a large group of family or friends. We cannot express how much we loved our weekend at AroonaLea. From the moment Annie got in touch she went above and beyond to make sure we had a great stay. Wonderful property
We shared this property between 3 families and it was perfect. Close enough to Mudgee but far enough away to feel like a real country holiday. We spent most afternoons down by the river at the bottom of the property watching the kids try to catch a fish , very relaxing. Mudgee girls weekend
We were in town for my 40th birthday celebrations and Annie’s place was the perfect base for our group of 16! The grounds are stunning.. we made good use of the pool and explored down by the river (didn’t see the elusive platypus though!). The house was very well equipped, every detail had been thought of, and all of the rooms were beautiful. The living spaces (kitchen, dining and lounge) easily accommodated all of us, we were able to enjoy sit down meals together. Annie was a pleasure to deal with, very helpful with local recommendations and even left me a little birthday gift from a local supplier. It was unexpected but very thoughtful. Thank you! We’ll be back for sure… there were calls to make it any annual event!

If you are still pondering on booking Annie’s property, stop and book now! This place exceeded our expectations. Absolutely beautiful. The photos do not do the place justice. We stayed with our extended family and the place was perfect with so many rooms and lots of space for activities. Great views and a pool to keep the kids occupied and happy. The property is also well stocked, whatever you need you will find it there. Close to main shops, eateries and lots of wineries to choose from. Annie was a great host and easy to communicate with. Tremendous property
We were 3 families each with 2 daughters who wanted a nice spacious home for a holiday and we certainly found it here. A very well appointed house ( loved the toast tongs and the picnic boxes). A Rural Delight
So peaceful and quiet! The house feel like a home; yet big enough for 14 of us to either gather as one, or to find our own quiet space. The shaded meadow at the rear of the property is ideal for a country picnic and a dip in the river. Annie, our host, was truly interested in ensuring that we enjoyed our stay. And even after we left, she tracked down and ensured the safe return of my grand-daughter's lost teddy!! Thanks Annie.

AMAZING HOLIDAY GETAWAY - STUNNING LOCATION
Myself & my friends stayed at this beautiful property over the Christmas period & I honestly do not think the pictures on Stayz do it any justice! We like to go away as often as we can as a group of almost 20 usually & this home had more than enough room for everyone. It is hands down the most stunning place we have stayed, from the spacious bedrooms to the spectacular back garden view of the mountains. Our host Annie was so accommodating, helping with early check in, taking the extra step for a Christmas welcome when we arrived & to also be kind enough to leave a Christmas gift which was appreciated. Loved it!
Had a lovely 10 days and enjoyed every moment. Ages in our group ran from 16 to 77 and there was plenty of space for everyone to hang out and then come together for meals/BBQS together. We were planning to see a lot of the sights around Mudgee but ended up spending a lot more time than we expected at the property as it was a very relaxing spot.
