The staff at the hotel were always very nice to us. From the moment we arrived to the hotel, they greeted us with a smile and walked us to our room. They explained the hours for dinner and breakfast and hot springs. After that, we went to have dinner. Dinner is really good if you're into Japanese food, there are few Western options but you're probably in Japan to enjoy the Japanese culture. When we got back to our room, our futons were already laid on the tatami. We went to enjoy the hot springs, they have both indoor and outdoor. The outdoor experience was interesting since outside the temperature was -14 C (about 7 F), but the hot water will prevent you from being cold at all (your hair may freeze). There's an option to get a massage outside the hot spring entrance. Next morning we had a very complete Japanese breakfast and after checking out we wanted to check out the town but we needed to take the bus. We didn't want to go back to the hotel to pick up our luggage, but the hotel staff told us they would gladly take it to the bus stop by the time we needed to catch the bus. It was truly great service and we couldn't be happier with our stay.
