Step back in time and enjoy staying in the recently restored, iconic, Gilbaugh building and walk to all the best places to eat, drink and recreate in downtown Astoria. This well appointed, 2-bd 1-bath flat boasts beautiful period architecture and wonderful river and marine traffic views. Located in the historic district, the flat is 1 block from the Ft. George Brewery and Heritage Museum and a couple of blocks from the Maritime Museum, Bowpicker, Riverwalk and many others.
Relax and watch the ship traffic through original double hung wood windows with wavy glass. Although close to everything, we maintain a quiet separation from the bustle of downtown in an area of historic architecture making the location perfect for your next Astoria visit. Commercially zoned, permitted and lovingly restored, this flat is maintained, owned and operated by Astorians. Our area serves a mix of both long-term and short-term tenants so we appreciate quiet respect for the neighbors. Park on-street and walk to everything.

Loved the ambiance of this historic building!
The hosts made sure everything was provided that you might need for a fun stay especially on a rainy afternoon. Games, books, cozy throws, tea, coffee and comfortable furniture. We especially appreciated the historical details that were preserved and oh, gosh, how I would have liked a tour of the basement!

Awesome view. Better than the photos can show
We loved our stay in this wonderful, historic flat. The view of the river with all of the ships was just perfect, even though a few blocks away, due to the elevation and downhill view. We could hear the trolley and even the sea lions (not loud, but off in the distance), which we loved. The flat itself is beautiful, roomy and well stocked and taken care of. Everything was walkable as well...plenty to see, shop, eat and drink, very close by. Hosts were easy to communicate with and answered our questions promptly, although we had no issues. Thank you for making your flat available for Astoria visitors.

A Charming Place that Lets You Step Back in Time
Overall, a really nice place. It’s older, but big and well maintained. It has everything you’ll need for a comfortable stay. It’s an easy walk to town and restaurants. I had to smile when I first walked in and discovered the old time push button light switches. Hadn’t seen those since my grandmother’s house. But they worked!

Wonderful property, great location
Super Clean, and fully stocked apartment. Location is incredible. You can walk to almost anywhere in minutes. Excellent communication with our host. Woke up to deer grazing next door. This property is wonderfully located and has everything you'll need. We did have an issue with making to much noise when we came home late one night even though we were talking at a reasonable volume. Unfortunately received noise complaint. If you are a light sleeper I maybe would consider ear plugs. Other than that this property is delightful.

This was a great property to stay at, as it was comfortable and close to downtown. Convenient to getting around. We needed to change our reservation from Saturday night to Friday night, and it was very easy. The hosts were accommodating. I would recommend to friends and would stay here again. .

it was a wonderful location for my niece, friend, and me to stay. We all thought it was a very charming apartment. I did not see in the information that it was a tub with a shower, the wheel did some people may have trouble with that.

Comfortable and well located
Charming craftsman style (?) home located in the midst of Astoria. Though the kitchen and bathroom have not been updated, everything works fine, the house was well-equipped and well furnished, and we enjoyed our 3 day stay. Would rent it again anytime. Note that there are about 15 steps leading up to the unit. My sister and I (in our 70's) didn't have a problem with it.

Nice views. Great location - short walk to restaurants, museums, trolley, etc. Interesting, spacious, older home with beautiful wood, built-ins. Could use a few upgrades and a little more tlc, but charming nevertheless.

Good location and nice view
Nice location for us because we like to be within walking distance of restaurants, shops, etc. Caught the trolley nearby too. The water and ships can be seen from the living room. We had no problem finding street parking outside. Overall reasonably clean though more attention around the window areas and little patio. Also, the very heavy storm windows do not stay up for getting cross breeze, which is also a potential safety hazard if there was a fire. The first night was quiet, but the second night & morning was noisy with the sound of a child running & jumping repeatedly overhead. Maybe people with children would be better suited for the first floor. Enjoyed staying in a (good) old place with a claw foot tube. BTW - no hand soap in the kitchen and no bath soap in the bathroom. Astoria was a nice place to explore and I would come again.

Nice Flat in Astoria
We stayed in the flat one night as we were passing through Astoria. It is located downtown and was easy to find. Check in was smooth and the flat was clean and ready to go. It was an easy walk to downtown for restaurants and to see the sights and sunset. We would stay here again when in Astoria!
