I have previously stayed and extended my stay several times at the Excelsior, I definitely recommend the place and will come back.
The new management is doing a great job improved the place, nicer breakfast buffet, little chocolate at night, wine, etc.
But I urge them to be more careful on the checkout… at 08.45 I told them I was checking out, went to have breakfast then at 09.30 take a Uber (which was Bolt) to the airport. The management was very kind to call them - therefore once gone (50 minutes after I checked out) they ask the driver to come back because “I owe them money”… Obviously, this was an error, and they apologized, but it took quite some time. Good thing I had plenty of time for my flight.
So again, recommend the hotel, will definitely come back - but PLEASE be more organized.
