Quick ATL trip.
Decided on a last minute trip to Atlanta. The stay for the most part was good, aside from an individual( I assume was the manager) banging on my door about 5 hours after I checked. He stated I have to open my door, as there was a report of smoking on the floor. I opened my door, stayed I don’t even smoke while he sniffed the air, then stated there’s a $500 fine and they will find the individual. I didn’t hear him bang on any other door. Now I am a young black man, but I’m also an employee of a foreign federal government. This was rather unprofessional and I think management should speak to that individual. Aside from that my stay was pleasant.

Make sure you read all the fine print. This is a “boutique style” hotel, which in their definition I learned means SMALL bathrooms and smaller rooms than average. Everything was super clean and the hotel is pet-friendly and has great aesthetic, but honestly the bathroom is for one person at a time and extremely small. This hotel also charges historic restoration fees of $15/night plus taxes in addition to your room rate. Parking is a shared garage with the hotel next door, it is self-park (no valet), and of course they charge nightly. Overall it was a good stay, but the extra fees/charges were a bit surprising.

Great property. Staff was very friendly, responsive to questions and problems, and generally helpful. My room was next to the elevator, which was a drawback. I could hear the gears/mechanisms of the elevator going up and down through the wall. I also wish there was a Marta train station closer. Overall was a great experience, and would recommend to others visiting the area.

Bathroom was extremely tiny, waited at the front desk to check in for a long time. Told parking was $45 and got a charge of $61.95 later in the week. Was then told there was a $15 fee for architectural preservation of a parking garage. Bathroom smelled like poop from the time I came in till the next day I left. Sheets and pillows not good quality and smelled.
