Not a bad hotel. There was some trouble checking in. Not dirty, but definitely looked like cleaning was minimal. Few small issues with the room (an outlet not working/handles loose), but nothing bad. No house keeping unless you request it. Valet staff were responsive and kind.

Massive clumps of blonde hair was in my shower, so I went downstairs to report it because the phone in the room didn't work. I was assured they'd clean. I went out, came back, and it was still there. I went back down stairs, head of housekeeping apologized while housekeeping actually cleaned it. No thank you.

I booked this hotel because i attended a conference at the convention center and from this hotel i only had a 10 minute walk to and from. There are also plenty of restaurants within a 20 minute walk from this hotel. Therefore, this hotel was very convenient to the places I was interested in going to. Plus, the beds were comfortable.

I have stayed at Hyatt House properties in multiple locations over a span of years. The one thing that I just can’t comprehend is the breakfast choices. Particularly the breakfast sausage. The only choices available are pork bacon or pork sausage. I find that incredibly insensitive and unacceptable given variety of people who choose to stay at these hotels. Everyone in America does eat pork products and this hotel chain should adjust their practices to accommodate the food choices and practices that are more reflective and demonstrate an awareness to the diversify that exist within those who choose to spend time in one of their facilities. I would hope that the Hyatt Hotel Corporation take a much closer look at its practices in regards to its breakfast presentation. In particular, the downtown Atlanta location.

Not the best. Would not stay here again.
When we got there we were told we had to pay PEF NIGHT for parking. The booking info did not say but check in and check out was easy. The breakfast the first day was mediocre at best and it got worse the longer we stayed. By the last day it was cold and awful. The coffee even had grounds in it! Then when we left the hotel I notice I had a huge scratch on my vehicle and when I called they said that they couldnt do anything about it because we had already left the property and their insurance didn't cover it. However, I told them paying $165 for parking, I'd think my vehicle would be safe so at the end of the day they did offer me a refund. So I guess I'll see in the next few days if I can actually get it back.

I consider Hyatt a higher-end hotel chain based on my previous experiences. Customer service certainly met my expectations at this hotel, but little else did. Our room needed some serious repairs. The mattresses weren't comfortable. The bathroom sink sprayed water forcefully everywhere. There was a persistent wet spot on the floor in the middle of the bedroom. Worst of all was that the air conditioning in our room died during our stay. The front desk staff could only offer us a box fan to help, but that did next to nothing as this was Atlanta in the summer. The only pro is the location, which is a block from the Aquarium and World of Coca-Cola, and within a short walk of many of Atlanta's major tourist stops. If location is your primary concern, and you're looking for an efficiency-suite type hotel, then this may fit your needs. But overall, the rooms need a lot of TLC to bring this hotel up to the standards I expect from a Hyatt.
