Overall good stay at the Showboat. Kids really enjoyed the water park and huge arcade. Food options were very limited, but you could easily walk over to other hotels on the boardwalk for more options. Staff were ok, though I wish they answered the phone more. They hardly answered before and during the stay. But we were able to do early check in at 12pm, which was amazing and allowed us to put our stuff down before going to the water park. The ice machine was broken on several floors and we had to call down to the front desk to get a hair dryer and wash clothes. For parking, make sure you go inside and get the voucher from the water park before you pay through the system in the parking lot.

The room wasn’t up to standard. There was no cups in the room ,Therefore I had to go back downstairs to asked. When asked, I was told “we do not have cups anymore but If I want, I should go to the restaurant and purchase a few”. I find that extremely crazy! More-so, throughout our conversation, he didn’t even look at me. Due to the fact that he was on the phone texting the whole time.Additionally, The heat in the room didn’t even work, the most the temperature reached was 64 degrees. The worst part was next door - a dog was barking the whole night and lastly I Couldn’t even feel safe because the door couldn’t lock.

I like the water park. That's the reason for our stay. I didn't like the bed. It was squeaky and not too comfy. The pillows were small. The blankets were not thick enough for the winter, more like for summer. Too much brown . I liked the refrigerator but every room should have a microwave. Should have soundproof rooms. You heard other people flushing their toilets. Overall the room was clean. I liked that the hot water heated up immediately.

When im in AC I stay at the Showboat. When I gave bus rides to AC we stopped at the Showboat. Since the Casino left I do like the arcade and amusement amenities that have been added. Unfortunately, I gave an Average response for my recent stay due to the cleanliness of the room and parking. The bed sheet had a stain on it and holes in both of them. There were no cups in the room so I couldn't make my morning tea. The mini fridge had thick ice crusted over the freezer.The bathroom was a mess. Good thing I brought my Lysol. There was crud on the front of the toilet seat and hair on the tank. Some kind of green substance on the bath tub, possibly tooth paste. There was soap sud residue on the tub also. At least somebody was clean but not the bathroom. Very disappointed and disgusted Showboat. Your standards are slipping. The elevator key card security system didn't work. You have children and families in the hotel and as annoying as this process of having your key to go upstairs can be, this is a real safety concern. Anyone can just go the the rooms from the ground floor. Where was the WiFi!!?? The one good thing I have to say is the staff was great especially Leslie at the front desk and there was a male working the arcade that helped me also. Step it up Showboat, I do want to continue my stay with you in the future.

Definitely a blast from the past. Showboat is on its way out but still a serviceable place to stay when seeing a show at Ocean or gambling at Hard Rock.
