Parking was so awful that we had to use the federeal street Parkable lot and drag luggage for like 10 minutes back n forth Housekeeping did not clean our room properly and left a lot of crumbs and oil on the table a few times, they only half cleaned the room the rest of the experience was great though, really loved the shower experience and the given soaps and lotion were very good the food options around were great, the harbor view rooms are great even if we were given the one with construction in the way but we did ask for this on purpose because our flight was so early i think there needs to be complimentary early checkin if a 13hr flight comes from abroad and arrives at 6am like ours did because to be told checkin was 3pm was very sad. we managed to squeeze into an available room nobody wanted because of the view, around like noon so we got lucky….

absolutely wonderful experience. The staff were friendly and attentive, the room was super clean. The location was perfect, with easy access to local attractions and dining options. I highly recommend this Holiday Express Inn Auckland to anyone looking for a fantastic stay. I can’t wait to return!

Sorry to leave a bad review, but my check in experience was the worse I ever experienced in any hotel , 3pm was my check in time , I arrived at reception at 3.30 and told please wait 5 minutes room is not ready , my family and I waited and after 15 minutes I joined the long queue line , reception staff could see me but didn’t bother to let me know but for me to be processed after everyone in front of me , when I got in front at 3.50 , they say the same thing, room will be ready in 5 minutes. We waited for another 10 minutes, then I see no line at counter so I went to ask again and they say oh yes room is ready now . Come on - at least communicate better with your customers, you could have informed me at 5 minute intervals that more delays were expected, offer a cup of tea or drink when guest are waiting because of delays . Delays happen due to housekeeping taking more time. Unfortunately that experience just over shadowed everything else .

The location was great but the rooms are very small and the shower wall is glass and see through. Not great for a family with teenagers. The parking was expensive. Although breakfast is included it is not great. Staff was helpful when we voiced our concerns and refunded our second night so we could switch hotels.
