The corridors are not at all sound proof. They seem to amplify sound. The hostel did go very quiet eventually at night,. Well placed for walking into historic town centre,

Clean, comfortable and excellent value for money.
It was a bit tricky to find from the Flixbus stop as this is about a half hour walk to the hostel and along a busy road. You can get a bus but it does not take you directly there, so your other option is a taxi. Except for this, everything else about the hostel is brilliant. Great service, comfortable beds, very clean, spacious and great clean showers and toilets. The breakfast is great too. I would definitely recommend staying here, it's great value for money.

Expensive area and was the best we could find around. Bathrooms are clean to start with but get a bit dirty as the day goes on. They are very stricked on check in time so don't arrive early or you will have to wait even if the room is available. We would stay again, very good breakfast.

Comfortable.
Very clean and comfortable room. Helpful Receptionist and only 10 mins walk to the Centre of town. Plenty of bars and restaurants in town and a good tram and bus service. 20-25 minutes walk from the train station.

Far Out!
Close to stop for bus 210, which runs from main railway station; otherwise it is a 25 minutes walk from main railway station. A walk into heart of old town takes 10 minutes, where there are restaurants and bars: also, a supermarkets Staff on reception very friendly, helpful and with good English. I had a private room with en-suite facilities. The bathroom had only a shower. Towels need to be hired and you have to make and strip your own bed. There were two single beds in my room, one table, two chairs and a wardrobe: no air-conditioning, but a radiator. As it was on the ground floor, it had a balcony. Parquet flooring to main room and tiles in bathroom. No TV in room and Wi-Fi is only available in reception. Breakfast is included in the price and is available from six to nine o'clock and is served in a refectory with a choice of cereals, meats, cheeses, rolls and hot drinks. Check-in is from 15:00 onwards and check-out is by 10:00, times that I found restrictive. The hostel represents good value for money, if you can put up with its restrictions of location and times.

Didn't know it was a youth hostel
This youth hostel was listed among the other hotels. The title was not apparent before it was booked. It is a great youth hostel and overcame my prejudice based on a bad experience 40 years ago. However, t was a youth hostel and I was expecting a hotel.

Great for a hostel
This is not a real hotel, not even a motel. This is a hostel sort of thing. But if you realize that and adjust your expectations appropriately, this is one great and cheap place. Minutes walking to Augsburg downtown. Clean and pretty quiet. OK, if your windows face the street, you better close them. Maybe I lucked in, but there was not too many people there and no student parties. It was very quiet. A word of warning: - they don't provide towels by default. Prepare 2 euros to pay for using 1 towel. Or bring own. - they don't provide soap. Even for money. If you insist they can share some from their private stash. But better bring your own. - read room description carefully. What I thought was a "2 bedroom" appeared to be a "2 bed room" :)

GREAT PLACE TO STAY--EVEN FOR OLDER FOLKS SUCH AS US.WE WERE ONLY THERE FOR ONE NIGHT BUT IT WAS MORE THAN ADEQUATE FOR OUR PURPOSES. WOULD RECOMMEND IT TO ANYONE. IT WAS FUN BEING AROUND THE KIDS AND IT WAS CLEAN AND THE MANAGEMENT WAS VERY HELPFUL AND COURTEOUS. NIGHTLY RATE, ESPECIALLY CONSIDERING PARKING AVAILABILITY, MADE IT A SUPER DEAL!!!

Overall okay. Only two electric plugs per room for a 4-person dormitory. What shocked me was the absence of opaque screens for each individual shower in the female bathroom... are we supposed to see random people naked while passing by ? Apart from that, breakfast was included, so it's good.
