This accommodation was a stop over for travel from east to west in France. We wanted to keep away from towns and liked the idea of a in house dinner and breakfast. Both were superb . Our host filled the evening dinner time with many interesting tales and points of interest, in particular wine. The friendly St Bernard was also charming company during our meals.
This is a lovely guesthouse with a difference. Owned by a Dutch couple, I was welcomed by them and their huge dog. The room was clean and pleasant, an older-fashioned rustic country style that I'd expect in a Burgundian village but all well-appointed. The distinctive features of my stay (just one night on a business trip) was the communal dinner offered with Wouter and Lotte (hosts) cooking a massive barbecue and entertaining us around the table. Lots of Dutch visitors, but I didn't feel out of place and it was great to have that hospitable feel on a business trip. Wouter is a former Sommelier and his passion for the wines of the region shows. Breakfast was fulsome and scumptious, with Lotte's home-made mirabelle jam the highlight. A must if you want a novel experience in this lovely part of Burgundy.
Stayed here overnight to break up a long journey to Italy. Perfect location just off the Autoroute. Lovely garden to relax in with a very welcome cold beer! Room was clean and comfortable and food was excellent. We had a lovely evening eating and drinking outside with the hosts Lotte & Wouter and 4 lovely Dutch guests. Evening meal is definitely recommended as all the produce is local, including home grown vegetables and herbs. Would definitely visit again if in the area.
Our trip was fantastic. We enjoyed a great dinner at the B&B, (and breakfast). Oliver the owner is a sommelier and really gave us insight to the Burgundy wines and landscape. The area is very charming and our room was very comfortable, good value, and private. It felt like we were staying with family, like having Lotta's homemade jam from the propertie's Cherry trees and Walter introducing us to some local spirits. Burgundy is a very special place and we look forward to returning for longer next time.
Very nice except there was no air conditioning though it was listed as having a/c. A small fan was provided for one room and a small low capacity portable a/c fan was provided for the other room. Ineffective. It it was very hot. No other space was air conditioned.
Heerlijk genoten.

Bravo, super ... On reviendra l'an prochain .
