What was listed as a Deluxe Penthouse apartment was far from it.
- As a city girl. I am familiar with city-life. Nevertheless, to be greeted by a few shady-looking characters in the front of the building, did not make me, or my grandchildren, feel secure.
- Upon entering the apartment, the lights did not work in "the dining room" and part of the kitchen. There were two red vinyl upholstered chairs around a small dining room table with large damage to their faux leather covers.
- The pullout sofa bed had a thin mattress-like cover, and I could feel the bars under it when I sat on it; nobody could sleep on it. There were scratches and watermarks on furniture throughout the apartment.
- The "master bedroom" was nothing like it was pictured online. The bed looked cheap and uncomfortable.
-I tried calling and texting the owner (pictures included). NO RESPONSE! His assistant responded to my text and told me to contact the on-site property manager. He came and acknowledged the conditions mentioned above but could not remedy the situation. He too tried to contact the owner and his assistant but got no response.
-Desperately, I texted the owner that he needed to find other accommodations and received no response. Later, when talking to Expedia, his claim was that the situation had been handled that night; it wasn't since he had not responded to anyone's calls/texts. I was forced to find other accommodations for my grandchildren and me. Awful experience with owner and Expedia.
