This was the first time my husband and I had been able to get away together in many years. We ended up extending our stay because of how wonderful everything was.
When we arrived we were treated to an upgraded room which we were thrilled about. We loved that the lodge is tucked away on Tunnel Mountain and it gives a much different experience vs staying right on Banff Avenue. We were treated to a beautiful sunrise on our last morning right across from the lodge.
December in Banff is Magical! Our stay couldn't have been better. I recommend bringing slippers to get to and from your room to the hot tub instead of fighting with socks and shoes in the winter.
Fantastic stay as our room had a cottage feel with the wood fireplace, post and beam wood and heated tile flooring in entrance and super large bathroom.
Staff were amazing with quick check in upon arrival as well they checked in a couple with us over our 3 night stay to ensure everything was as we expected and if we needed anything.
Beautiful outdoor hot tub and setting with gas fireplace. Property is super clean, quiet set in trees. We walked to town which is a bit of a walk but felt great getting exercise and fresh air. After checking out all of downtown and walking the bow river trail we took the transit bus back to the door of the buffalo lodge.
We ate dinner one night on the property and the food and service was very good.
The Premier Room was so cozy, comfortable beds, great views and having the wood fire on ar the end of the day was the icing on the cake!
Pasta night on Mondays was a bonus, the food was so good and lovely surroundings and ambience and the service from the lodge staff was excellent! Thank you for a great stay!
3 night stay in November: Resort was clean and quiet. Staff were friendly. The in room wood burning fire place in the premium suite was to die for.
My only complaint was that the room was not cleaned one of the days. The beds were made but nothing else touched.
Over all, this resort exceeded my expectations and I would absolutely stay again.
