Throughly enjoyed the property and rooms as well as the staff. City bus stop was informative of the property which the bus got you around to the different sights. The hotel provided a coupon to use for the bus transportation.
The only complaint is the refrigerate in the room was very tiny and nearly held a bottle of soda.
It was wonderful having a restaurant and a coffee counter in the hotel lobby.
We had a room on the second floor over looking the street it was worth the view.
This hotel has so many great things about it... eco friendly, great coffee, free transit passes, free parking, nice showers, rooms are bright and nicely decorated. HOWEVER we stayed on the second floor, building A. I counted 8 service doors across the hall from our room. All day and all night slamming and banging. It really picks up towards 6 am. Often heard staff out in the hall too and carts rattling. The noise level is ridiculous. I found out upon checking out that there is a pastry kitchen there! Why on earth a hotel would be designed this way is beyond me. Ongoing construction on site as well but that is at reasonable hours. For $500 a night I should have insisted on being relocated after first night. Very disappointed.
Beautiful hotel a short walk from downtown Banff. We had a beautiful mountain view. The rooms were really nice, comfortable beds and clean. Rocky Mountain products were an added bonus.
The rooms were spacious and comfortable. I like a firm bed but this was like sleeping on the driveway. I would never use the pour over coffee again. It was a hassle. Enjoyed the fabulous views from the deck but felt the design wasn’t well planned to face back to back with rooms in next building. It’s a rather long walk downtown when you’ve hiked all day already. The Roam transit was a perk but we found with all the stops it makes that we mostly just walked instead when we had a tour booked to get to at a set time. The wait staff at Sudden Sally were not on top of things the night we tried it. We got waited on but then nobody came to check on us. I would have had desert but couldn’t find our waiter and then gave up by the time we found someone to pay our bill. Also, felt price was unreasonable for no laundry being handy and hot pools not open. I booked with expectation that by end of summer would mean September it would be done. False advertising IMHO.
Beautiful newer hotel with great amenities. The employees are helpful with anything you need.
My only complaint would be the bed and pillows - very firm. Did not get the best sleep while there.
Quite new, so still some adjustments to be made, interesting concept, a bit confusing finding our building and room , but great staff and very comfortable rooms, ours had a terrific Mountain View, which made our stay very special.
We had a mountain view room and it was stunning! The view took our breath away! The room was spacious and the beds were really comfortable. The finishes in the room and bathroom were of a really high standard and the toiletries were really good quality too. If the fidge was a tiny bit bigger it would have been absolute perfection for us.
I booked in advance with the understanding the pools and laundry room would be available as advertised. I was there 2nd week of September and still was not open which was an inconvenience as far as laundry was concerned. We were really hoping to use the hot pool as welll which was not available. The room was very nice with excellent views. Food as restaurant was very good as well.
The Canoe was a wonderful retreat for our stay in Banff. The staff members, to include wait staff, were welcoming and efficient. The room was large, newly redone and the bathroom the best. Strongly recommend this delightful mountain town hotel.
