The hotel is rustic and older, but priced as a higher end property. There is parking, and although it’s complimentary and a parking pass is issued for display, the underground parade is open to the public and almost always full. When brought this issue up to the front desk, there was nothing they would do about it. The rooms are small and have cheap coffee. The restaurant on site is Chillis…a chain restaurant and generic food there is just okay, nothing special at all. Be prepared to walk a good distance to get good coffee and breakfast in the morning or for a nice dinner and shopping, as this hotel is about 1-2 kms walk. The sauna and hot pool are just warm…not very hot. The gym is the worst I’ve seen in a hotel. No treadmill or machines, and smells like feet. I would recommend other hotels first.

Really enjoyed my stay at the Fox Hotel. The room was spacious and the bed was very comfortable. The front desk staff were also friendly and welcoming. Good value for money here! I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this hotel for anyone considering staying here and I would stay here again when visiting Banff.

I booked a standard room but I got a room upgrade for free from hotel because I am Expedia VIP member. I had a mountain view loft room on the top floor with $15 food & drink credit per day The hot tab is great and clean. It was wonderful two nights stay. Love it!

The staff at the front desk were quite rude and impatient. The spa was SO nice, but crowded (on a Saturday) and quite small. I’m not a big fan of outdoor room access, especially for the winter and didn’t realize when I booked it. It’s very expensive for a very small room.

For what the rooms offer, the price they are charging is insane. The Fox isn’t a new hotel which is fine as long as the experience is worth the cost. There were water stains on the ceiling, stains inside the tub, the bedding is okay but nothing luxurious. Breakfast is no longer included as it used to be. Banff is becoming unreasonable where you spend $500 for a hotel for one night but aren’t getting a $500 experience by any means. The room was very dated and snug. The walls were paper thin. You could hear your neighbor, the cleaning staff rolling the carts down the hall and literally anyone that was in the terrace area. The hot pool/sauna area was probably the nicest part of the hotel.

Hotel was fine. Hot tub could have been a little warmer. Needed warmer duvet. Outside stairs to rooms needed to be scraped and shovelled. Extremely icy, hard to walk on. And room had NO fridge.

Our stay at the fox hotel was very mediocre espically the money we paid it definatly was not worth it. We were lucky to have hot water in the shower , We paid an aditional fee for a mountain view and didnt really haave one as there were lots of obstrutions and if im paying for a mountain view thats disappointing. the hot tub was nice but is over hyped. Were there for our honey moon and for the price we paid it was not worth our week stay. Will be returning to banff but not to the fox hotel .

Beautiful hotel, unique hot pools (although they were warm not hot). Views were obstructed due to the room type I chose, but outside of the hotel they are spectacular as always. Quick walk to downtown. Definitely will be staying there again
