Stunning stay at Villa della Perenetta
We just finished a 5-day stay and the villa with 9 friends and family, (including 2 children). Firstly, the outside pictures show the Castello, which houses the winery and owner's home. It is not the villa where you stay. I only realized this 1 month after making the reservation. The villa, located 45 minutes from Florence, is a 5-bedroom building built in the 1980's and very tastefully decorated, located to the left of the Castello. The place was spotless and clean, and each bedroom had an ensuite. We ordered groceries 1-2 days before you arrive, which we did and they were delivered without any problems. We had a chef cook us an incredible 4-course dinner in the villa to celebrate a birthday. You do not have full access to the grounds, but there is a patio and grassed area outside the front door. I highly recommend the villa for anyone looking for a base to explore Tuscany and the surrounding hill towns. Roberto the owner is very nice and was happy to assist us when we had troubles with heat, and even assisting us with the baggage when we left. The chianti classico from their winery is wonderful and well worth a tour.

Like a beautiful dream
The home was as large as it was stunning. There were 10 of us plus an infant, and we had more than enough space. The wine tasting at the adjoining castle was hosted perfectly and the scenery is like out of a rom-com. Just perfect. We had dinner cooked at the villa one night, and they took care of everything. There's a small town about 15 minute drive away for take away food and groceries and about 45 minutes from Florence. There's a cooking class up the street that most of us said was our favorite experience of the trip. Just lovely. Pool was closed for the season, and be sure to ask about check in times, as there are fees for late arrivals (it's not like there's a hotel staff, so we get it) and the keys were a little tricky for us. There are several wineries very close by. Highly recommend.

Fabulous location and ambience
Ten of us got together to celebrate a week in Italy. The castle was fabulous, the grounds and pool were beautiful. This is a great location if you're looking for quiet wine country. It's an easy drive to Siena, Greve and other darling towns.

Castello della Paneretta was a dream
We had 9 people (two families) stay at the house and it was truly a wonderful experience. The property is breathtaking, the staff was extremely welcoming (we loved Massimo) and Barberino Val D'elsa is just a gorgeous part of the world to visit. A definite must see!

Beautiful home in Tuscany
We loved our stay in this amazing villa. The property was beautiful, both inside and on the grounds as well. The house was convenient to visiting Florence, Siena and other towns. The hospitality was amazing thanks to Chiari and Alberto! They made us feel right at home! We booked a cooking class with them while we were there and loved it! We couldn’t have asked for a better place to stay!

Huge, comfortable and quiet
With just two couples, we didn't fill even half of the bedrooms here. The place is huge and comfortable. Bathrooms are all large, modern and clean. There are several living/sitting areas and nice areas to sit outside. The castle grounds are amazing and it's out in the country and very quiet at night. They arranged a chef for us one ngiht and we had a grand meal at home paired with some of our favorite wines from our trip. We highly recommend this place and you could house an army here.

Quiet and more than comfortable
A beautiful property with a well kept and beautiful villa. Minor deficiencies were attended to immediately upon request. The Chef’s dinner our last evening was delicious. A special recognition goes to the property gardener who changed our flat tire for us. Absolutely stunning service. Grazie! Grazie!

Beautiful, elegant solution for group travel
This lovely property is managed by lovely people. As others have mentioned you only see the castle if you book a tour, but this means that the house you are in is completely private. Our group of 8 had plenty of room. An enchanting place for well behaved children to stay! Air conditioning in all but one of the bedrooms, but even in August the room was cool enough without it. WiFi works. Pool was small but serviceable, with a great view and bordered on one side by fragrant lavender - very relaxing! Tour and tasting was excellent. We would have been happy staying put, but this was an excellent base for exploring the area. All in all we were charmed, we hope to return, and we highly recommend!

Great place! Great people!
Really outstanding all the way around. Two families (total of 10 people) stayed here in late June. We had a meal prepared one night, and did a castle tour / wine tasting. Very cool! Thanks.

Amazing!! Fairy tale come true!!!
There were 9 of us who stayed in the villa, which is beautifully decorated, well equipped and clean. Waking up every morning to head out for the day, you see the castle, and it is just absolutely surreal! Ending each evening with a glass of wine on the lawn in front of the well-lit castle to one side and the sunset to the other, is absolutely amazing!! The pool area has 2 covered areas for shade, which worked out very well for us. The staff is very accommodating! They helped us contact airlines for our lost luggage. They provided information for a personal chef and pastor to come for a special anniversary celebration. They even allowed us to use the old stone church on property for a vow renewal. We met the owner and her son, both lovely people. They do run a tight ship, as this is a working winery and olive oil production facility and the owner actually lives inside the castle. Do not expect to come here and have the run of the castle. The pool does have a curfew of 7/8:00 in the evening. To be honest, we were so exhausted from our day trips that it did not even matter. If you stay here, you are a guest, and you must be respectful of the property and owner. The wine tasting was fabulous! This stay was an absolute dream come true!!

Friendly and Hospitable estate
We loved our stay here. This home was exactly as pictured, and very comfortable. The staff, including Chiara, were very friendly and amenable to our needs. They are also very family-friendly, as we had a 3-year old with us during our stay. Great accommodations and amenities. We would visit again in a heartbeat.

We were a party of 10 people and a couple of kids. The place is super nice with a wonderful view of Tuscany vine yards surrounding the estate. We appreciated in particular - The level of privacy - The scenery and view - Living on a active vineyard - AC - Last but not least the host and owner. Very nice and accommodating /H
