Historic property is fantastic, as are the gardens. Close to restaurants & gothic quarter.
Only downside is no elevator and that is being added.
A great b & b!
It is tucked away from the busyness of the area, but is in a prime location near the beach.
The staff were delightful and accommodating, and really made me feel at home!
There is an excellent buffet breakfast included the highest quality, and a very pleasant setting.
Breakfast exceeded expectations. Bed was very comfortable and the room was clean cozy. Staff was friendly. No elevator, but it is in a historical building so it was totally understandable. Would highly recommend!
Everything was great besides the excessive noise every morning from renovations(i guess). On vacation one likes to sleep in but they were drilling concrete n banging every morning around 8 until around 11
Nice property and good location close to gothic quarter in barcelona . Lots restaurants around the perimeter of the building close to marina and beach. Only drawback homeless like to camp in front of hotel and are make noise till late at night, i guess thats why they supply you with ear plugs ? Also not elevator you need to drag your luggae up several flights of stairs. if you have balcony room facing street. Otherwise it has a fantastic breakfast are and lounge they have luggage lockers if you like to leave your luggae with them before flight for more exploring Overall good.
This is a great place to stay in Barcelona. The staff are amazing, the breakfast is outstanding and there is no stop tea and coffee and cake all day. The rooms are really well decorated and there are lots of little touches that result in a comfortable stay. There are stairs and no lift but the staff helped me with luggage and I also used the very secure lockers down stairs ( I had a lot of luggage). This is one of the nicest places I have stayed and I travel a lot
We walked to aquarium, beach, gothic quarter and easily used the bus stop (2.55 euros each) less than 300 yards away to Sacrada. Perfect, free breakfast in Picasso’s redesigned, house. The Tex Mex restaurant behind the building was delicious-Mango Mohito was refreshing on a hot, Summer Day!

Very nice stay!
This is a beautiful place with great style in a very easy location to walk into El Born, Barceloneta, Gothic Quarter. The only negatives were that there is no elevator and there were several homeless people out front. The staff at check in helped carry my bag up which was very kind, and the hotel arranged for a taxi to pick me up to go to the airport and the taxi driver was actually early and came upstairs to carry my bag down without me asking, so I think the hotel must have arranged that. Don’t let the lack of elevator deter you, but it’s good to know if you have any physical limitations. Air conditioning worked great and the shower was the best one of three hotels we stayed in during our trip to Spain!
We loved staying here! The furnishings are modern and the breakfast is quite good. Our room was small, but this was exactly what we needed for exploring the city. A metro and train station are within a five minute walk. There are several high quality restaurants and shops nearby as well. This is an old building with a lot of character - the rooftop garden is unique. Our host (owner) mentioned that Picasso once briefly lived in this building as a youth while his father taught across the street, so there's even a historical connection there.
I can’t say enough about how great this property is. The room was clean, quiet, very comfortable bed. Breakfast was great. Very walkable area. Easy to get into the heart of the old town or stroll over to the marina. I would highly recommend this property and we would definitely stay here again. Sandra and her staff are amazing hosts.
Beautiful place, clean, good location, great view, breakfast was awesome, super welcoming, great price and an overall amazing experience.
Only complaint is that we had to pay 10€/ locker to lock our bags for a few hours.
What a beautiful hotel and host. The location was perfect, the room was clean and classy with the most comfortable bed, the breakfast was delicious and all the staff were wonderful. Big thank you to Sander for her warm welcome. I only wish we stayed longer! Looking forward to visiting again:
We had an excellent time during our stay, Sandra was an excellent host. Friendly and informative. The area was very noisy when we stayed. This was the only draw back and was partly due to road construction work which will not always be there.
Absolutely beautiful hotel. Friendly, English speaking host. Breakfast far better than expected in a gorgeous dining room. Location of hotel is very good, with approx 15-ish min interesting walk to the main areas of Barcelona. Would absolutely stay here again.
Our stay at Porxos Garden was wonderful. The staff are exceptional and welcoming and the property had all of the accommodations we needed for our stay. The highlight of our stay was the exceptional breakfast with delicious fresh local food. Breakfast is included as part of the cost of the stay which is a huge bonus that we appreciated. The location is great for exploring Barcelona, including Gothic Square, La Rambla, Barceloneta Beach, and beyond! Located in close proximity to bus and metro stops for exploring the entire city. We would recommend Porxos Garden to anyone visiting Barcelona and hope we can return in the future!
The Porxos Garden was a tucked away gem! It is located in a historic building which adds to its charm! It was close enough to walk to dining, shopping, the beach, etc. a perfect location! The staff were very friendly and helpful. It was a great experience 😊
Liked the avaikabikity of water, coffee and snacks. Really good value with breakfast. Lack if an elevator can be challenging for people who have difficulty climbing narrow staurs.
I had a late check in, but the instructions were simple and it was very easy. The room was lovely rustic architecture with modern but sympathetic decor of a high standard. The bathroom products were lovely. There was a gòd variety for breakfast, which was fresh and beautifully presented. It felt like a really personal experience. Would definitely book again.
