Dated and hot /humid
A very dated hotel. Air con is dreadful. We had to enlist the support of hotels.com to get maintenance to switch an additional button on in the ceiling (hidden) even so the air goes up to the roof and not within the room. We moved the bed nightly to be under the ducts as the airfow didn’t cover the room. All people at breakfast were saying the same. Very hot rooms. Public areas were hot and queues for the lift in the heat were only manageable with a hand held fan. Breakfast room hot but you’ll need to go to get a cuppa. No kettle in the rooms. However the views from the balcony are excellent. Take ear plugs.

Not sure about the other rooms but our mattress was very old and in need of a new one. Plus it appears that one night stays get put in rooms in front of Las Ramblas which is extremely noisy. Forget about getting good sleep.

This is a comfortable hotel in the old town for the budget conscious traveller. The first night we had a room facing the street which prevented us from sleeping all night because of the noise from the nightclub next door. When we complained the next day we got a room in the back of the building which was really nice and quiet.

The room was fairly large, beds comfy. Too hot to sit out on the terrace without any sunshade! Only negative was the room did not get service on one day. We had to ask for dry towels and loo rolls! For a 5 night stay we would have liked more drawers for our clothes and shelves in the bathroom for toiletries. Breakfast was good with fresh produce as expected on a continental b/fast basis - real orange juice was a bonus!

The place is right in las ramblas. You step out of the hotel and youre right in the las ramblas. But the facility is outdated. Found couple of bugs in the room. Construction is happening in the back so its loud during the day. Air conditioning is terrible. Staff was great! They were amazing and very nice and helpful.

The room didn’t feel clean. The bed was not comfortable, the linens were worn, the comforter looked like curtain material. It felt like motel settings. The staff was friendly. The location was right in the middle of the action. The breakfast was pretty good.

Great location and nice staff. The room was warm and dark. The window when opened didn’t help. There was a mildew smell and the fridge wasn’t working well. It was a short stay for us and it did the job.
