Romantic Cottage in Snowdonia National Park. Stay in the Woodland's Heart!

one bed-roomed detached cottage set in the gardens and woodland of the main house. Having a private parking space for one car outside the entrance. It is centrally heated and equipped to a high standard providing very comfortable accommodation throughout the year.

The small but cosy open-plan cottage has a lounge with TV and DVD player with beamed ceilings leading through French-windows to a small balcony overlooking the estuary and Cader Idris mountain range. Off the lounge is the bedroom with a double bed, the shower room and well equipped kitchen/dining area. There is an electric cooker, fridge and microwave oven.

We absolutely loved our weekend, the Coedmor barn was everything we hoped it would be. We explored the local area and visited Snowdon, it was lovely to return to the cosy cottage after our long walks. We loved it. Thank You

What an amazing stay we had , the property was beautiful, well presented and very clean. Owners were lovely and friendly and the view overlooking the estuary at the back of the property was breathtaking. This was a lovely place to stay for just two people. Will definitely be going back

Tranquility
Cottage is what you would expect, thick boulder walls, adequate size rooms with a lovely decking overlooking the estuary. Very quiet location even though you are near to the road. The owners had made sure there was everything in the cottage and the decoration was just right. Thoroughly needed and enjoyed this break. Thank you. Lyn @ Gary

Woodlice falling from ceiling, dirty carpet, no lock on bathroom door
Arrived at Coedmor Barn at 5pm, left by 10pm the same evening. Very disappointing, upon our arrival walking into the barn we saw a woodlouse on the bed and several more walking along the perimeter of the bedroom. Having dismissed this, we then encountered three more woodlice in the kitchen sink and pieces of black debris on the draining board. A short while later, we discovered around 15 woodlice in the Velux windows above the bed and kitchen sink. Contacted the owners regarding this issue, they came and hoovered them away. The owners gave us pesticide powder and offered to smoke bomb the property to help rid the insects. We deem this incredibly inappropriate after having driven 6 hours, and whilst on holiday. The owners were dismissive and expected us to allow the insect infestation to prevail because of its location. I have stayed in this type of property numerous times in locations like this and never experienced anything like this before. Even after the woodlice were hoovered, numerous insects kept appearing. Footnote, no lock on the bathroom door, and the carpet was dirty and worn. We did receive a refund having contacted VRBO, however will not be staying here again. So disappointing and frustrating. VRBO very prompt with refund.

Charming, Quiet, Lots of Personality
The barn where we stayed is a very old building, beautifully updated and comfortable. The porch at the back offers a lovely view. The hosts were available but not intrusive. We would recommend staying here and would come back again if we were in the area.

Peaceful and Quirky
Beautiful view, lush green garden. Well equipped kitchen and useful amenities. Iron and clothes rack is a useful addition. The bedroom is cramped but the bed is firm and comfortable. Jagged internal stone walls and a sloping section of floor could be potentially hazardous for people with poor balance. As there is a sky light in the bedroom I was grateful for my eye mask. The hot water pressure in the kitchen is intentionally low which we found a bit irritating. An enjoyable and relaxing stay and should the need arise, would be happy to return.

Enjoyable stay at a lovely property near Barmouth
We enjoyed our stay in a lovely converted barn in a good locality. We found it hard to find the property as the sat nav took us up a very narrow road to a completely different property, it was my fault for not reading the notes sent by Zarina, as it explained that we had to ignore that sat nav and continue around the corner until we seen the sign to the property. Lovely gardens to explore with a nice view through the trees.

Lovely little cottage, nice location for Barmouth. Centrally located to drive to various places if you don't mind driving. They do warm you about the internet we did manage to watch TV with a little disruption but not to bad. My only tiny complaint if I could moan about anything was how hard the bed was otherwise a lovely stay for what we wanted.

Pit Stop In Barmouth
A very cosy and welcoming accommodation. Caerdeon is in an ideal location. Beautiful views from the balcony on a sunny morning overlooking the estuary. Great communication with Zarina and a home from home feel about the place. First time visiting Barmouth and had quite the busy day and half whislt staying there. Barmouth was showing off with a beautiful sunset. Harlech, is a 25 minute drive after Barmouth with a worthwhile visit to Harlech Castle and beach and is definitely worth a visit, even if just for the coastal drive.... Coastal road views - just wow! A nice, flat walk over to Fairbourne via the Barmouth Bridge to a pebbly, stunning beach. Barmouth looked grande from afar too. Thanks again Zarina and Chris. Will definitely be back.

Idyllic and great value for money
This property was spotless on arrival with some lovely welcome gifts. The barn is small but has everything a couple needs with a nice big bed, a little firm for my liking but comfortable non the less. The gardens and the grounds that the property sits on are enchantingly beautiful, with perfect views of the estuary. The owners never bothered us once we were left do do our own thing which we appreciated. We are already talking of booking again.

Comfortable stay in beautiful area
The barn proved to be a little gem, tucked away in a secluded garden with views over the estuary. It was in an excellent position for exploring the area ,with easy access to the seaside town of Barmouth and other tourist attractions such as Mt.Snowden and Portmerion. The cottage itself is very compact, but ideal for a solo traveller, and was well - equipped with most things one needed for a comfortable stay. Everything was scrupulously clean and the decor was fresh and inviting. The welcome pack was a kind gesture, enabling one to make a hot drink and a biscuit after a long journey. I didn't meet the hosts, but knew they were close by and responded quickly to messages via the site. As is mentioned in the blurb, getting a phone signal is nigh on impossible at the property, but wi-fi is good , so was able to check in with the office etc without issue. Would certainly visit again and can highly recommend as a base for exploring the local area.

Absolutely beautiful romantic cottage
The property and gardens were lovely. The view each morning was heaven. It’s so peaceful and cosy. Clean accommodation with sheets, towels, small toiletries and complementary tea and coffee. We didn’t want to leave this hidden gem. Only downside was getting in and out of the gravely sloped drive

Great location
Zarina was our primary point of contact and thankfully communicative and warm. The barn was clean and the welcome pack helpful. The location was spot on, 5 minutes from the coast but half an hour from the majority of places we wanted to visit. We will be back!
