The Garden Cottage is a self contained studio cottage snuggled in the garden between a sun filled deck with recliner chairs and an al fresco eating area. Ok i honestly dont ever leave bad reviews but this time its needed for others to know ...i wouldn't spend over $50 a night if i knew the look of this place..full of dust and spiderwebs the floor extremely filthy the outdoor area around dead plants and really not tidy to enjoy yoyr coffee in the morning..the tv afrer 3 hours trying i gave up it didnt work .the owners must live at the back because i try contacting them to ask help with the tv but noone answer the door or the phone .i wouldn't go there again even if it was for free

Just what we needed

Beautiful little place with gorgeous outside area under the trees. Had everything we needed to escape the summer heat and only a short drive to the beach to enjoy hours of sunset bliss. Outside shower absolutely fantastic to wash the beach away (especially for the dog!)Fantastic little spot and our doggo enjoyed it as well

Overall impression good. Bed comfortable. Clean bathroom, plenty of towels and toiletries. Peaceful location. Downsides: TV too difficult to navigate (gave up in the end), 1 english breakfast teabag (1!), 2 Earl Grey and 2 Green tea, no instant coffee or decaf. No full sized oven. Would stay again.

Cute and Cozy Getaway

Our stay at the garden cottage was just what we needed, it was a beautiful little holiday! Great location within Barwon heads yet staying so close to the owners house was unexpected but privacy was fine. Amenities were up to date, clean and functional apart from the towel rail in the bathroom which unfortunately continually broke when we hung our towels on it. The TV had access to many streaming platforms to watch and enjoy! The amount of natural light that the property received all day long was incredible and really amazing to experience! Overall our stay was very relaxing and an amazing experience.

Our cottage stay

The cottage is located in a sensational area, a stone’s throw from Barwon River - perfect for walks, picnics, fishing and water sports. The neighbourhood was very quiet, which in peak season compared to the Main Street, was a welcome reprieve. general upkeep was neglected, as we encountered things like flat batteries in remotes and sticky residue on kitchen countertops. bed was comfortable and the back deck and front patio were lovely to use. Shower was also great - hot, strong pressure, clean and modern.
