The room was not clean at all. Dust in many places, a lot of hair in the bathroom.
There is no fridge, kettle, coffee maker in the room. Instead, they were very proud of their shared facilities and explained how you could sit and read and have a cosy time. However, the "space" is at the stairwell, and our floor had one chair to sit on. There were not enough clean cups and tea spoons, most of the tea canisters were empty. The fridge was crowded by another guest's champagne bottle and take-away box (the fridge was very small and shared by the whole floor).
A few days before our stay the hotel sent an email to let us know that there would be a street party on the weekend of our stay. 1) the email was in german only, so I could only halfway understand it and 2) if I had known sooner than a couple of days before then I would have rebooked to another hotel. As such, there was nothing we could do and the extremely overexcited woman in reception simply offered us some earplugs and advice us that staying in the city is expected to be noisy. And it was :(
The most important advice for breakfast is: Get there early. The first day it took almost 30 min to get a small cup of coffee and the food was not all restocked. Furthermore, it looked rather "worn" since it was a buffet and had had many "hands on it" before us. The next morning we had to get up early for a flight and the breakfast was actually a pleasant experience.
