The budget room was truly spartan, but had everything that you really need. Small but efficient. Very firm bed. The only thing that wasn't so great was that it was a very hot night, we didn't want to open the window because we were facing the train station and it was very loud, but the air conditioning stopped working at night. When we asked the manager, he was also frustrated -- he said they can set the entire building either to heat or cooling at night, and since some people had complained it was too cool in the previous days (when it really had been colder), he had set the night mode to "heat" -- this meant we could only turn everything off completely (and smother because it was so hot and muggy), or actually turn the heat on. I'm sure this is meant to be energy-saving, but it meant we got almost no sleep -- they really should look for another solution.
But the room was simple but adequate, spotlessly clean, quiet (the windows must be triple-glazed, as we didn't even hear the trains at all when the window was closed), and a fantastic breakfast!
