The hotel does not have a working lift. The rooms do not have a telephone to call the reception. No additional pillow available. No hot water kettle available in the room. Not good value for money. Very expensive.

Det dårligste hotelophold nogensinde!! Larm, ingen varm vand ( hvilket tilsyneladende var en permanent tilstand!) Morgenmad var tag- selv i pap bakker med plastic bestik i et rum hvor man selv skulle starte med at tage stolene ned fra bordene. Det hele føltes meget uvenligt/ uimødekommende Den høje larm og lugt af barbecue samt fest lige udenfor vores vinduer vidnede om at der var ret løse forhold for angiveligt lokale venner? ( Virkede ikke som hotel gæster) Føltes selvf også ekstra belastende man skal op og køre tidligt næste morgen. Lokalisationen ift Hamborg city dog fin👏

Given single bed instead of double bed room
I had booked for double bed , but I was given single bed room, since no1 was available at the time I checked in , and was said tht I will get a cal for repay back the extra amount took, but till now I dint receive any call or mail yet on same !

Website said it was 0.2km from city but what they actually meant was 0.2km from station. Breakfast was bad only fesh fruit was apples. Juices were of a low quality concentrate.

Nice hotel 1/2 hour drive from Hamburg
Staff pleasant. Good breakfast. Large quad room. Quiet even though at front of hotel. Free parking makes it convenient with a car.

Conveniently located.
Close to s Bahn station. Contrary to hotel info it does not have 6 restaurants nor 4 coffee bars! Which, due to it only having 18 rooms, you hopefully already had guessed. There is a nice italian restaurant about 10min walk away( on main road opposite direction to station) Hamburg by train takes about 30minutes. Do buy a hamburg card. If traveling after 9am or anytime at weekend it is only €11.20 for up to 5 people. You can travel anywhere within 3 zones by S Bahn, u Bahn bus and even ferries.

A very decent hostel - but not a hotel
We stayed at the Hotel Altenwerder Hof for five nights over the Christmas Holidays while visiting family nearby in Neugraben. The Altenwerder Hof is a very functional place. It's clean and ok if you are looking for a place in Neugraben just to sleep. That said, the mattresses were overly soft. The room was small - less than half the 400plus sqft mentioned in the booking confirmation. There was no receiptionist to be seen at any time except when we checked in - but a phone number to call if help was needed. Our hallway smelled of heavy smoke every evening, even though this supposedly is a non-smoking hotel. Again - overall nothing bad can be said - it simply was not a hotel-like experience. We felt like visiting a youth hostel. Location near the main Neugraben train station is very convenient - but not clearly not the best part of Neugraben. Free wifi is a plus.

Fijn hotel!
Het is een knus, rustig hotel. Aan een rustige weg. De kamers zijn wel klein, wanneer je het gordijn dicht doet kun je er bijna niet langs om naar het toilet te gaan. Hele lekkere, harde bedden en een goede douche. De auto kun je voor de deur kwijt, altijd plek. In de buurt zit een heel lekker italiaans restaurant, Atoll. Een aanrader!

Det såg väldigt trist ut utanför. Ovårdat. Däremot var det fräscht när vi kom in. Vi blev insläppta i vårt rum, som inte hade AC trots att det stod det skulle finnas. Efter en stund började vår taklampa blinka, och vi sa till i receptionen. Hon tyckte inte det var ett problem. Vi höll inte med, men hon struntade fullständigt i att hjälpa oss med det och vi fick lösa det genom att släcka lampan. I övrigt var rummet bra. Lite hårda madrasser. Duschdörrarna var inte helt fungerande. Frukosten hade ett bra utbud, och fräscht, men serverades på ett väldigt litet bord, i ett lite småkallt källarrum. Natten blev lite för varm. Och för allt det här så fick vi betala lite väl mycket. Vi har varit på B&Bs för halva priset men där allt var bra. Fick ingen rabatt för den trasiga lampan.
