Welcome With Improvements
We were very well welcomed to the hotel by the gentleman at the front desk. The room was inside on the first floor as I requested. The room was nice and clean, warm and cozy. My concern when I was getting in and out of the shower and found no grabbers and felt a little unsafe as I have a balance problem.

There were literally no blankets for the beds. In December. We asked at the front desk, if we could get some blankets. “Nope. Sorry… we don’t have blankets.” Heat was inadequate.. We slept in our clothes & still froze.

I would say you get what you pay for with a place like this, but the motel is dated and is not the cleanest which is why this is cheaper than places around it. Even some of the repairs that were done were cheaply done. This motel would need significant funding and remodel to address a number of concerns with the condition of the property. It isn’t the worst motel I’ve stayed at, but it is not far off. I did not have a bad experience with the staff as other reviews mention (likely attributing the condition of the place on the staff themself).

Door didn't latch could open by pushing on it. Hole worm in carpet. Peeling paint on doors. Just completely run down. Had a reservation for a two bed room on first floor ended up with a one bed room on second floor no elevator.

Bad hotel, dirty and unethical locatio
I had an unacceptable experience at the Travelodge by Wyndham in Beckley, WV. On the night of October12, 2024, I was given room #66, which was a queen bed instead of the king room I reserved, despite my request to cancel. The room was filthy, with visible dirt and fresh urine on the floor. After requesting a new room, I was moved to room #88, which did have a king bed, but the bathroom was still unclean and had mold. The front desk staff was unethical in handling the situation, and the overall condition of this hotel is a serious health and safety concern. I strongly believe the property needs to be inspected by officials. This level of service and cleanliness is completely unacceptable.

The staff in the afternoon was very good. The clerk that checked me out was rude and shouldn’t be in public service. No continental breakfast. The afternoon clerk was very apologetic. The owner does not keep the place up. The one gentleman went over and beyond to help us.

Difficult to find in highly congested area. Location is nothing like the photo. It is located behind the parking lot of Dairy Queen. The property has seen better days. Beds were very uncomfortable. Carpet was filthy. I wouldn’t recommend staying here

Too old, too dirty, very VERY small bathroom, and lousy air conditioner. Spongey floor and didnt want to take our shoes off. No coffee makers or available at the closed kitchen/dining room. Time to tear down!
